Description: How often do you or those around you go to your smart phone when you're looking
for the answer to a question? Who was in that movie? What will the weather be like next Tuesday in
Atlanta? How do I get to that location? The digital divide is as much about access to digital devices
as it is knowing how to use our digital devices to get the information we need, when we need it.
Learn how to help the young people in your programs to develop these skills and how to bring
content that you already use to them on their mobile devices.
In this workshop, we will explore the benefits of making your content accessible on mobile devices
and learn about several free and easy to use technology tools that you can use to make content
mobile friendly.

Preparing Youth for Post-Secondary Transition (Repeat offering)

Description: The transition to either college or career can be daunting for our youth and preparing
them for these transitions can be challenging. In this session, we will discuss how to develop
transition plans for youth, with aspirations of post-secondary education or career, learn strategies for
building desirable employability habits and behaviors such as: regular attendance, time management,
and higher-order critical, logical and reflective thinking skills, which are needed for success in both
college and career.
