    Abstraction and automation

    You can turn a physical world phenomenon into a mathematical model by creating an
    abstraction which takes out all the unimportant information in the phenomenon. You can
    then use an automaton (human or machine) to automate the mathematical model and find
    out more about the physical world phenomenon.
