FELTING CLASS
Karen Caddell-Walker has a degree
in Interior Environmental Design from
Duncan of Jordanstone. She first
worked with felt as an Educational Arts
Worker at Angus Council. Self-taught
in various felting techniques, she has
worked for the fashion and accessories
industry creating wearables and artwork.
Design and make a 40x40cm felt textile
piece using wet felting, needle felting, beading
and embroidery. This can then be developed into a
cushion cover, wall hanging, a framed piece of art,
or anything else you can imagine.
Starting with research and development, bring photographs, magazine images, colours
and ideas on what you would like to make. From here we will decide on a design and
order the materials for you to start on your project the next session. The classes will
allow you to produce an item to include in your final design or a series of individual
pieces. All material costs to be met by the student and should be no more than 15
to 20 in total, depending on your choice.
