Representative Klemin, I don't know why you introduced legislation written by a lunatic, nor do I know how or

why you gave my email address to that very same lunatic after you received correspondence from me in
opposition to this sick joke of a bill.
I do know, however, that both of those things were mistakes.

Rep. Klemin and Christina,

You'll have to do better than that in explaining why you withdrew the bill. We smell fowl play from Fuse. In a
radio interview, I was just asked what my reaction to you withdrawing the bill was, and my response was that
you need to be voted out of office for not having back bone. This bill is about protecting women and
children, and not pandering to shallow narratives for personal gain.
If this is not remedied in a way I feel to be satisfactory, we will sue Fuse in Federal District Court. The
sponsors that we have in all of the other states have backbone and are men of character and honor. This is
weak and pathetic. The fact that we are working with the Federal Congress to pass a Federal bill means that
the state of North Dakota will be regulated any way. But that is besides the point.
Basically, your suggestion means that children and victims of trafficking will have to suffer until 2019
because you were spooked by criticism.
Your suggestion also relies on the idea that you will still be in office in 2019 and I think that is a bit of a naive
long shot at this point. Not to mention we would not dare give you the opportunity to sabotage the bill twice
at Christina's bidding - because that is what is happening and the public should be aware of it.

Republican voters deserve to drain the swamp of feckless leaders who seek to pander to the shallow liberal
media. The public deserves better.

Yes, but you will need to find a sponsor. The Senate deadline is soon approaching. However, I dont think
any of the current Senate cosponsors would be willing to sponsor it in the Senate. We can try it again in
the 2019 ND Legislative Session.

What about in the Senate. Can the bill be presented in the Senate?

Chris,
Sorry I wasnt able to take your call this morning. I was in hearings with the Judiciary Committee at the
time. I then had a noon meeting on justice reinvestment and have now just returned to the floor of the
House for the afternoon floor session, So I cant talk now either.
As I mentioned HB 1185 will be withdrawn today. I dont have the support I need to pass this bill in the
House this time. Perhaps in the next Session we will be able to follow the lead of SD and other states to
pass this in ND.
Thank you for your assistance with this bill.

Rep. Klemin, I'm on my fifth radio interview today. South Dakota's attorney general's office along with
Representatives from South Dakota contacted me today and said they are on board with the bill you filed.
Rep. Haagaurd is the primary sponsor the bill will go to legislative services today and be filed right away.
Therefore, if your co-sponsors are not interested in committing absolute political suicide, I respectfully
recommend that the Constitutional Law Professor's recommendation be followed. The liberal media is a
bunch of irrational hot air. It did not stop Trump from being President and it will not stop HTPA from
becoming law. The Republican supporters in the state of North Dakota want leaded with backbone in
office and not individuals who will pander to the irresponsible liberal media. Best, Chris
