Luther N. Webster This Indenture made the sixth day of September in the year of our
To Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six Between Luther N
Mason J James Webster and Sally [his] wife of the town of Bloomfield County of
Oakland and in the Territory of Michigan of the first part and Mason J James of the town Oak[land] and
County of Oakland in the Territory of Michigan of the second part witnesseth that the said party of the first
part for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars being current money of United
States to him in hand paid by the party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said party of the second
part and to his heirs and assigns forever all the certain parcel of land it being the East East [sic] half of
the South West quarter of section thirty one in township three North of Range Eleven East in the
District of Detroit and Territory of Michigan containing eighty acres and eighteen one hundredths of an
acre according to the Official plat of the survey of the said Lands returned to the General Land Office by
the Surveyor General which said tract has been purchased by the said Luther N Webster Together with
all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining
and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all
the estate right title interest or demand whatsoever of him the said party of the first part either in law or
equity of in and to the above bargained premises and every part or parcel thereof To have and to hold to
the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the sole and only proper use benefit and behoof
of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever

Be it remembered that on the seventh day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and twenty six personally came before me Luther N Webster and Sally his wife being personally
known to me do hereby acknowledge the within instrument to be their voluntary act and deed and I do
hereby allow the same to be recorded County of Oakland Territory of Michigan

And at the same time came Sally wife of the said Luther N Webster who being by me examined apart
from her said husband acknowledged that she signed the within instrument freely & voluntarily without
any fear threat or compulsion of her said husband
