DREAM PARK

Y7 GEOMETRY

ASSIGNMENT
Your task is to create a map of your Dream Park. DUE: FRIDAY
28 OCT
What features to include is completely up to you. Examples could include: Rides, pools,
paths, parks, sports fields, sideshows, circus tent, secret tunnelsget your creative
thinking cap on!
The only things that you MUST include are listed below. These are designed to test your
knowledge of the Geometry skills we have learnt so far this term. Turn each criteria point
into something that you would find at your Dream Park; i.e The acute angle could be
shown as the staircase leading up to an awesome slide. Or the enlarged shape could be
a small star-shaped pool with a larger star-shaped pool nearby.
CRITERIA POINT
A group of trees at (B13)
Two acute angles
Two reflex angles
Two obtuse angles
An isosceles triangle

1
2
3
4
5
6

A shape that has been reflected (these do

not need to be side-by-side)
A shape that has been rotated by 90 (these
do not need to be side-by-side)
A shape that has been enlarged by a scale
factor of 3 (do not need to be side-by-side)
A right angle

10

An 80 angle

11
12
13
14

A trapezium
A parallelogram
A kite
A pool that sits South East from the group of
trees in Criteria Point 1 (distance irrelevant)
A tessellating pattern

The reverse side of this sheet must be completed and handed in with your
Dream Park grid. On it, you must state the grid reference of where I will find
each of the criteria points on your grid.
