ARM HARDWARE PLATFORM FOR VEHICLE

MONITORING AND TRACKING

ABSTRACT
Design of Vehicle monitoring and tracking system based on ARM using GSM and
GPM is proposed. The vehicle module is used to track, monitor, and surveillance and finds
the accident spot and intimate to the monitoring station.
The proposed design provides information regarding vehicle Identity, speed, and
position on real time basis. This information are collected by the ARM7 TDMI-S core
processor LPC2148 by using different module and dispatch it to the monitoring station.
This project uses regulated 5V, 750mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage
regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the
ac output of secondary of 230/18V step down transformer
