Have you ever heard about diabetes?
Yeah, we are so familiar with diabetes because there are 422 million

adults have diabetes,waw!

So, What is diabetes?

Diabetes is a condition in which there is too much sugar (glucose) in
the blood.

Although sugar is needed to provide energy for the body, when it

excess, it couses problem

High blood sugar problems start when your body no longer makes

enough of a chemical or hormone, called insulin

Insulin is made in pancreas

Insulin will helps sugar move from your blood into your cells.
When you dont have enough insulin to lower high blood sugar levels,

you have diabetes

Type of diabetes
There are 2 main of diabetes, type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes
So, What is difference of diabetes type 1 and type 2?
Type 1 diabetes happened when there is no key (insulin) to unlock the
door to cells

People with type 1 must take insulin in order to survive

Although rarely it can effect at any age
Commonly referred to as Juvenile-onset Diabetes
Then, type 2 diabetes
In the case of type 2 diabetes, the key (insulin) is unable to unlock

the door properly or the key (insulin) is there but the lock doesnt work
properly

Type 2 diabetes is the most common from of diabetes

The causes of diabetes

Type 1 diabetes is caused by the immune system destroying the cells
in pancreas that make insulin

This causes diabetes by leaving the body without enough insulin to

function normally

Some known risk factors for type 1 diabetes include:

1.
2.
3.

4.

Family history. Anyone with a parent or sibling with type 1

diabetes has a slightly increased risk of developing the condition.
Genetics. The presence of certain genes indicates an increased
risk of developing type 1 diabetes.
Geography. The incidence of type 1 diabetes tends to increase as
you travel away from the equator.
Age. Most common ages affected are 5 to 25 years old

Type 2 diabetes, exactly why this happens is unknown, although genetics

and enviromental factors, such as excess weight and inavicty, seem to be
contributing factor.
And another factor like : high blood pressure, smooking, sedentary
lifestyle, overweight, high fat and cholesterol levels

Signs and symptoms

Signs and symptoms of diabetes often develop slowly. In fact, you csn
have diabetes for years and not know it.
1. Increase thirst and frequently urination
Excess sugar building in your blood stream causes fluid to be puled
from the tissue. This may leave you thirsty. As a result, you may drink
and urinate more than usual
2. Increase hunger
Without enough insulin to move sugar into your cells, your muscle and
organs become depleted of energy. This triggers intense hunger
3. Weigh loss
Despite eating more than usual to relieve hunger, you may lose weight
4. Fatique

If your cells are deprived of sugar, you may become tired and irritable
5. Blurred vission
If your blood sugar is too high, fluid may be pulled from the lenses of
your eyes. This may affect your ability to focus
6. Slow healing sores or frequent infections
type 2 diabetes affect your ability to heal and resist infection

only be carried out by injection, insulin is destroyed in the stomach so
it can not be given by mouth (swallowed).
2. Antidiabetic medication (OHO)
Sulfonylurea class often can lower blood sugar levels adequately in
people with type II diabetes, but is not effective in diabetes type I.
Examples include Glipizide, glyburide, tolbutamide and chlorpropamide.
These drugs lower blood sugar levels by stimulating the release of
insulin by the pancreas and increase its effectiveness.
These drugs can sometimes be given only once (in the morning),
