1 Scope of Application
GCY-450 /
This regulation is applicable to the emergency handling of type GCY-450 diesel locomotive fault arising
during the operation period on main track/depot track.

3 Fault Emergency Handling Guideline
3.1
3.1 Principles of fault handling
3.1.1 3.3
3.1.1 If the fault point can be determined immediately: conduct troubleshooting directly according to the
Emergency Handling Measures specified in 3.3.
3.1.2 3.3
3.1.2 If the fault point can not be determined immediately: search the fault point according to the
sequence of Analysis of Cause specified in 3.3 and conduct troubleshooting according to the
Emergency Handling Measures.

3.1.3 The fault can not be troubleshot but the train can be started: without compromising safety,
continue to accomplish the operation as possible and conduct maintenance after the train returns to the
depot; if the operation can not be continued, report to the dispatcher and terminate operation; maintain
to operate till returning to the depot.

3.1.4 The fault can not be troubleshot and the train can not be started: ask for rescue.
