1-The 4th grade Turkish students will have a conversation of 5 to 6 sentences by
using verb to be, grammatical rules of Present Simple Tense, like and dislike,
and the new vocabulary items that they covered in the previous classes when
they participate in a discussion during class.

Students will learn by using Desuggestopedias and Direct Methods techniques.
Also, they will make a conversation with each other. They will ask questions.
Teaching Activities [ASSURE (Utilize Technology, Media, and Materials

and Require Learner Participation)]


-Choose a new identity: Students choose a job for themselves. However, they do
not tell their new identities each other. One student starts the ball game. S/he
throw the ball to another student and ask questions about her/his new identity
such as where do you work?
-Question-Answer Practice between Teacher and Student: Teacher asks
questions to students about their future dream job and students who want to
speak raise the speak-up card and talk about themselves.
-Conversation among students: Students make a conversation about jobs,
places etc. They can ask each other about their family or their jobs that they
want to be in the future. Also, there will be two groups. One group will talk about
the advantages of some jobs and they will wear green hats while the other
group will talk about the disadvantages of some jobs and they will wear red
hats.

Conversation among students

Summary
Students will have a conversation by using speak-up cards when they want to
talk about their new identity. Students who will tell the advantages of the jobs
wear green hats while the other to explain the disadvantages of the jobs wear
red hats. When they want to ask questions each other, they will use the ball in
order to point out the person whom they want to ask. Teacher shows students a
picture about jobs and places, students answer questions.

Explanation
This weeks content will improve students conversation and writing skills. They
will learn more about jobs by asking questions each other. They will make
information exchange. They will complete each others missing knowledge.

Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan


If they do not want to speak in the classroom, teacher can get them to watch a
video or cartoon about jobs. Some students may not feel comfortable to speak in
classroom so teacher must take into consideration these students and
encourage them to speak. After watching film, they will make comments about
it. Teacher can ask some short answer questions to start a conversation. It will
help them to make conversation.
