LONG SPAN STRUCTURES

A Single storey Industrial shed / Warehouse is to be designed with an area of around 600
sq mt. The hall should have a clear span steel structure with the following ancillary activities
outside but attached.
1. Staff room with toilet block Approx. 250 Sq m : Should be attached to the main
hall with RCC Clear span structure.
2. Semi- open outdoor space - Approx. 300 Sqmt: Tensile Structure /Space frame roof
covering the loading/ unloading bay.

The following aspects should be shown at an appropriate scale.

1. Key plan (1:500) Showing entire Industrial shed / Warehouse along with ancillary
activities.
2. Roof plan and sections (min 2) of each structure. (1:100/1:200)
3. Following details of each structure are required (1:10/ 1:5/ 1:2)
Detail of Roofing System and material with skylight and rain water drainage.
Detail of various junctions like Ground plate / edge joinery etc.
Detail of junctions between different roofing systems.
Submission on A1 size sheets (No. as Required)
