Charlie: Well, I just dont seem to be getting much

out of the classes. Its no use. I try to learn, but
everything the teacher says goes in both ears and out
the other.

Tim: Sim, eu concordo, mas esta a nota mais baixa
que a escola permite que a professora d.

Charlie: You see! I'm no good at math, either. And

my grammars poor. And my vocabulary is as bad as,
like, whatever. And look at this test. I dont believe I
deserve this F in History.

Tammy: Tim!

Tammy: Tim!

Charlie: Eu acho que a professora est tentando se

vingar de mim por aquela vez que coloquei uma r na
gaveta dela.
Tammy: Eu no acho que seja isso, Charlie. A Sra.
Green uma professora muito justa. Seja honesto,

Charlie: Bem, meu pai e minha me acharam que
seria bom para a famlia dar uma sada por alguns
dias; e eles esto planejando uma viagem para
Disney World.
Tim: Disney World! Isso no razo para se chorar.

Charlie: I think the teacher is trying to get back at me

for the time I put a frog in her drawer.

Charlie: Bem, isso que estou querendo dizer. Eles

disseram que se eu no colocar minha vida em ordem
e conseguir notas boas no prximo grupo de provas

Charlie: Well, thats my point. They said that if I dont

get my act together and get good grades on my next
set of tests at the end of the semester, I wont be
allowed to go with them.

Tim: Yeah, I agree, but thats the lowest grade the

school allows a teacher to give.

Tammy: I dont think thats it, Charlie. Mrs. Green is a

very fair teacher. Be honest, you havent been doing
too well in school for a long time now. Theres nothing
new there. But, why are you so sad today?
Charlie: Well, Dad and Mom thought it would be good
for the family to get away for a few days; and they are
planning a trip to Disney World.
Tim: Disney World!! Thats nothing to be crying
about!

Tammy: Youre not a loser, Charlie! You just have to

Charlie: No saio tanto assim, mas a minha me

Charlie: I don't get out that much, but Mom IS always

getting down on me for playing too much video game
and spending too much time on the Internet chatting
with my friends. And Dads always getting after me
about the mess in my room and my sloppiness. Oh!
Ill be so glad when I get these exams over with. I
know I wont pass anyway.

Charlie: Oh, o que adianta? Bem, eu deso aqui. Vejo

Charlie: Oh, whats the use? Well, heres where I get

off. See you guys later.

Coby: Hmmm. Acho que tenho uma idia. E teremos

Coby: Hmmm. I think I have an idea. And well have

to enlist the help of little Firepop the Dragon again.

Tim: Voc nunca conseguir que o Firepop faa isso.

Tim: Youll never get Firepop to do that.

of it. He owes me money for breaking my brand new
bike, and he said he would pay me back by doing odd

Charlie: I saved your life by pulling you out of a toilet

bowl?

Firepop: Sim! Eu poderia ter me afogado ali dentro. E

Firepop: Yes! I could have drowned in there. And

because of that, I am going to grant you a wish.

Firepop: Maybe not, but I could at least try...

Firepop: Great! I think well get along just fine. So

lets start by getting to bed early tonight. No MSN; no
TV. Tomorrow we get up at the crack of dawn. Its
going to be a BIG day.

Charlie: Why do I have to get up early tomorrow?

Firepop: Se voc quer prosperar (conseguir algo) na

get into the habit of going to bed at a good time and

healthy, wealthy, and wise.

Firepop: Voc anotou o que a professora acabou de

Firepop: (whispering) Did you get down what the

teacher just said. I bet that is going to fall on the test.
She said it was important.

Charlie: Ok, eu anotei. Mas agora abaixe a e fique

quieto antes que algum o veja.

Charlie: Ok, I got it. But just get down and be quiet
before someone sees you.

I told you I am a terrible drawer.

Charlie: Como que eu sempre tenho que ceder

para voc? No voc que deveria estar fazendo a

Charlie: How come I always have to give in to you?

Arent you the one who is supposed to be doing my
bidding?

Firepop: Apenas faa o que eu falo ou ento eu no

vou fazer seu dever escolar para voc mais.

Firepop: Just do what I tell you or else I wont do your

school work for you anymore.

Charlie: Fazer meu dever da escola para mim? Voc

parece mais um encarregado da tarefa para mim?

Charlie: Do my school work for me? You seem more

like a taskmaster to me!

fada mgico. Mas o que aquele dragozinho
realmente me fez entender que diligncia a me
da boa sorte.

Friend: Who finally got through to you about the

importance of studying? Or were you just lucky?
Charlie: Well, in a way, I guess I was lucky. Its not
every day that you run into a little magic fairy dragon.
But what that little dragon really got across to me is
that Diligence is the mother of good luck.
