HEADMASTERS CORNER
Firstly, thank you very much to Mrs West and Year
1 for such a super assembly this morning on the
Chinese New Year. As always the children clearly
enjoyed themselves on stage and were most
confident.
This week Mrs Symonds and I were joined by Year
8 for their termly Monitors Meal on Tuesday
evening. The food was delicious and the company
excellent. It is always so nice to see just how
mature and self-assured our oldest children have
become during their final year here, and to be able
to spend an evening in their company is an absolute
pleasure.

STAR BADGES
Well done to Isaac King and
Katie Woodhouse who earned
star badges for being our PE
Performers of the Week. Both
showed excellent football skills
in their lessons this weeks!
Also to Jack Sanders and Lottie de Bradeny for
fantastic effort in Cross Country lessons on
Friday!

I would also like to thank all

those who attended last
nights talk on E-Safety given
by Mr Gregory from Wycliffe
College. A useful tip shared
with us by Mrs Pritchard was
the Our Pact app, available
as a download on Android
and iPhones, or via their
website http://ourpact.com/.
We are now in the process of
planning next terms talk and
we hope to welcome as many
of you there as possible.
Good luck to our swimmers in
tonights
IAPS
Regional
Swimming
Championships
and good luck too to the many
of you who will be taking part
in tomorrow evenings FOTM
Curry and Quiz Night.

YEAR 7 GEOGRAPHY FIELD TRIP
Out Year 7 students visited The Mall today as part of their Geography field work. They managed to interview
519 customers in a 55 minute period well done! The children were complimented on their smart uniform,
excellent interviewing skills and polite manners. They focussed on two questions:
What was your main reason for shopping at The Mall today? Where did you travel from today to get to The Mall?

The variety of shops was quoted as the main reason why the shoppers visited The Mall (115/519
responses). The greatest number of people had travelled from Bristol (235/519 responses).
Year 7 were a credit to the school during the visit. The graphs below were produced by Isaac Bienemann.

Three amusing quotes from the morning:

Jenna asked what was the main reason for travelling to the Mall today? They replied, To spend money
Oh, youre from Tockington. The hidden gem!
