INTRODUCTION:
Energy efficient housing are the output of
sustainable or green architecture this can be termed as
environmentaly conscious design techniques.this is framed by
large discussion of sustainability and the pressing economica and
political issues of our world
Energy efficiency in buildings considers both
the rate of energy use and the source of the energy that is used
sustainability design produces buildings that less energy to
operate because they feature efficient designs materials and
systems the most sustainable buildings have highly efficient
heating,cooling,ventilation etc

NEED FOR THE TOPIC

In the broad context sustainable architecture seeks to
minimize the negative environment impact of building by
enhancing efficiency and moderation in the use of
materials energy and development space. In india
residential and commertial sector consumes 25%of the
total electricity usage of the country and the major part
of it it used in buildings

Designing and developing new building base on the

concept of sound.concepts of sustainability and applying
retrofit optons to existing building can sustainably
improve the energy use of efficiency in the building
sector with an associated reduction in both local and
global emissions

Aim
To design an energy efficient building which
responces in an optimistic way to the environment and
surroundings
Objectives
Energy efficiency in new buildings can be effected
by adopting an integrated approach to building
design.the primary steps in this approach are listed below

Efficient materials and construction practices

Bio climate/solar passive architecture principles
Efficient systems and equipments
Renewable sources of energy
Efficient waste and wter management practice
Incorporate solar passive techniques in a building
design to minimize load on conventional systems
Design energy efficient lighting and HVAC systems
Use renewable energy systems to meet a part of
building load
Incorporating the above features in a holistic manner
would result in building that will impose a minimal ipose

on environment while enhancing user comfort and

productivity

Human being is forced to search an infinite source of
energy because of the depleating nature of the
conventional energy sources.most of the buildings on the
planet are lacking in utilizing the abundant availability of
energy gifted by nature like solar heat and wind energies.
So the concept of energy efficient building is
already on the fast track as environment has started
showing a strong impact on the basic human life there is
also a need to encourage this pattern of construction in
the countries like India .
