Database strategy 5
SAP is introducing the real-time data platform
a flexible deployment environment for managing big data, but not only big data.
This should be an environment where you can have the 3 major database like
Hana, IQ and ASE in on virtual environment choosing the right location for your
data depending on the use, size and performance needs.
Bringing a unified way of managing data in the platfrom with tools to handle the
data for loading, replicating and transforming. With one set of Open developer
APIs and protocols. Common modeling environment and Landscape management
This is then the basis to run netweaver with on top the business suite on premise
or in the cloud, most of this is already GA and ready to implement
It is also very clear that in the Future Sybase ASE and Sybase IQ will play a bigger
role to be more flexible in the future and support your business better
