NaturCert expands in the Caribbean

Today NaturCert announces the appointment of Eco Project Ltd. for providing
NaturCert Certification in the Lesser Antilles islands.

Athens, Greece - 30 June 2010 - NaturCert operates through the international

network of NaturCert Representative Offices and subsidiaries. Each network member
is a separate and independent legal entity and operates locally in countries around the
world. NaturCert's local partners provide NaturCert programs locally and perform
marketing and communication activities in local business language.

In the Lesser Antilles region, NaturCert appointed Eco Project Ltd., a Trinidad &
Tobago-based environment & tourism consulting firm. Eco Project Ltd. are specialists
in sustainable and green tourism and have engaged in a wide spectrum of projects
across the Antilles region.

Aljoscha Wothke, Director of Eco Project Ltd., said "Managers of hospitality and
tourism establishments in the Caribbean were beginning to get weary of past attempts
at becoming certified environmentally sustainable operations. NaturCert offers a
detailed certification process without the hassle. With simpler application and
administration procedures, at an acceptable cost, we are happy to be an agent for
NaturCert and offer clients different certification levels to choose from!"

Tourism is an important income earner to countries in the Lesser Antilles. Despite the
negative outcome of the 2009 performance, which hit mainly the Eastern Caribbean
States with reductions in arrivals that reached -12% in 2009, the Barbados, St. Lucia,
Antigua and Barbuda are leading the way to recovery with good growth.
While some of these countries value the tourism sector higher than others, all the
countries agree to the fact that tourism contributes to the diversification of the
economy.
Sustainability and green tourism is a regional priority for investors, hoteliers, agents,
stakeholders and key regional bodies such as the Caribbean Tourism Organisation
(CTO) which strives for a sustainable tourism product that clearly distinguishes the
region from competitors, as presented during the 11th Annual Caribbean Conference
on Sustainable Development.

Tourism investment is expected to support the growth and transition to a sustainable

tourism product in the region. According to UNEP “today investments in the tourism
sector represent almost 10% of the total investment value worldwide and in
developing countries, such as in the Caribbean region, this figure could be as high as
50%. At the same time, there is a growing focus on tourism as a generator of foreign
direct investment in developing countries.”

Akis Laopodis, Managing Director of NaturCert said: “Opposite to what we would

expect, we see that the impact of the crisis on the region's tourism industry has
developed a greater opportunity for re-shaping the industry's profile and make the
steps towards the formation of an authentic and sustainable tourism product able to
stand out. We are very happy to enter the Caribbean market with our partnership with
Eco Project Ltd.”
