M19: Dissertation Phase - I
Teaching Scheme:
Practical: 02 hrs.

Examination Scheme:
Term Work: 50 Marks

Practical Work:
Dissertation Phase (DP) - I will be assessed by a panel of 3 faculty members for term work. The
students are required to prepare a written report of their work and present it. Dissertation Phase I
report should include Literature Review referring at least 15-20 papers/articles from
national/international refereed journals. Literature Review should be classified and based on
dissertation topic finalized. Students should also present their future plans of Dissertation Phase
II.

M20: Dissertation Phase - II
Teaching Scheme:
Practical: 02 hrs.

Examination Scheme:
Term Work: 50 Marks
Oral Exam: 50 Marks

Practical Work:
Dissertation Phase (DP) - II will be assessed by a panel of 3 faculty members for term work. The
students are required to prepare a written report of their work and present it. Dissertation Phase II
report should include Literature Review, Mathematical Formulation, Experimental Setup,
Validation, and Software based analysis as per the nature of work. It is expected that students
should present preliminary results indicating methodology proposed or adopted is correct. At the
end of this DP - II students should complete at least 50 % of the total dissertation work. Oral
examination will be based on the work done for DP II with students fundamental
understanding of the topic. Students should also present their future plans of Dissertation Phase
III.

M21: Dissertation Phase - III
Teaching Scheme:
Practical: 02 hrs.

Examination Scheme:
Term Work: 50 Marks

Practical Work:
Dissertation Phase (DP) - III will be assessed by a panel of 3 faculty members for term work.
The students are required to prepare a written report of their work and present it. Dissertation
Phase III report should include Literature Review, Mathematical Formulation, Experimental
Setup, Validation, and Software based analysis as per the nature of work. It is expected that
students should present result towards conclusion. Panel members should discuss with the
student about the correctness of results. At the end of this DP - III students should complete at
least 80 % of the total dissertation work. Students should also present their future plans of
Dissertation Phase IV.

Practical Work:
Dissertation Phase (DP) - IV will be assessed by a panel of 3 faculty members for term work.
The students are required to prepare a final written report of their work and present it.
Dissertation Phase IV report should include Literature Review, Mathematical Formulation,
Experimental Setup, Validation, and Software based analysis as per the nature of work. It is
expected that students should present final result with conclusions. At the end of this DP - IV
students should complete at least 100 % of the total dissertation work. Students should present
their work in national/international conferences or journals.
