MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER CHIHUAHUA, MEXICO

Primary Responsibilities
Located at Visteon Technical Center in Chihuahua, Mexico, this role is focused on the product
development process, applying product design guidelines, engineering standards and manufacturing
practices.
Typical Duties
Mechanical development of forward and current models
Components design through CAD applications, Catia, CREO or NX, as required
Development of plastics parts and sheet metal components
Responsible for meeting key program dates
Comply with design standards and engineering procedures

Attend design review meetings

Work within a team

Requirements
Years of Experience: 2+ years of work experience
Degree Strongly Preferred: Bachelors Degree in mechanical, mechatronics or electromechanical
engineering
Desired Competencies/Experience
Degree in engineering
Two years of experience in automotive product design or similar
Broad knowledge in Catia and NX (advanced - part modeling, surfacing, assembly, sheet metal
and 2-D drafting)
Knowledge of product design process
Knowledge of manufacturing processes
Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance
Advanced English level
Special Requirements
Flexibility in working hours to work with a global team may be required. Some flexibility for global travel is
important.
