available in both 110V and 240V

Need some extra help? Our friendly customer services

team are always on hand to help: call 01892 519290
The machine is used with a water feed
which can be connected via a 1/2 inch
water hose from either a tap or a supply
tank. The wet use of the tool helps with
dust suppression and assists significantly
in extending the life of the diamond
cutting disc by keeping it cool. This will
help you get more cutting performance
from the blade.
The CS60 has many built in electronic
features to ensure it is always running
effective and efficiently. These include:
electronic soft-start, step-less speed
control, constant speed, temperature
control and overload cut-off. The
constant speed control means that when
the machine is put under load the tool
electronically compensates to maintain
the RPM to as close to the no-load speed
as possible.

The tool takes a blade of 170mm . This means that a

user is able to achieve straight cuts on material up to
60mm thick and mitre cuts on material up to 38mm thick.
This versatile tool offers a great cutting capacity and is
designed for all stonemasons, tilers, kitchen fitters and
landscapers.
When used with its guide rail, the saw cuts in a perfectly
straight line through materials like granite, quartz, marble,
artificial stones, concrete, terrazzo. The motor is fixed
at 6000 RPM, the correct rotation speed for the blade
designed for use on the machine. For cutting requirements
on site, it is a cost reducing alternative to a traditional
bench saw and is ideal when used to tackle long straight
cuts on site. The guide rails are available in two lengths,
800mm and 1600mm and they can be securely connect
for seamless transition from one rail to another while
cutting. These guides have a strong rubber trim on the
base, helping to reduce any possible slip of the guide rail
resulting in a poor cut.

This machine also features a mitre angle

setting which means the blade can be
angled. This allows a user to cut a perfect
positive mitre joint of up to 45 degrees.
This makes it ideal for preparing mitre
joints on site which traditionally can be
very difficult with normal stonemasonry
tools. It is especially useful for companies
who have a need to create mitre joints but
do not have an automatic saw with the
ability to angle.

Although very powerful, the CS60 is a

compact machine meaning that it is easy
to transport. It is supplied with a handy
carry case to make transporting the
saw hassle-free. The saw comes with a
170mm granite blade but we can supply
alternative blades for a range of materials.

The resin is designed to have very high initial tack so makes

it perfect for mounting surfaces that dont require mechanical
fixings as once the surface is hung there is very little sag
in the resin. For worktop fabricators, this feature makes it
ideal for the bonding of splash backs or up stands where
high bond strength is required and it is difficult to secure in
place while the resin activates and hardens. It also is useful
for gluing in under-mount sinks as it has stronger bond than
silicone and again with high initial tack helps secure material
in place without fixings. Because the resin also retains its
slightly elastic properties and high bond strength it is ideal
for most load bearing applications.
Before application make sure the surface is clean and free
of oils and grease anything that will potentially contaminate
the bond. Dont worry about moisture as the resin can be
used on damp substrates. Although the resin will provide an
exceptionally strong bond without a primer, using a correct
primer for the substrate will always increase the adhesion
strength. The applications of this resin are wide ranging,
making it suitable for worktop fabricators, memorial masons
and architectural masons alike. M560 is available from stock
in three colours: black, white and grey.

Tenax Quartz Glues

Stonetools are now holding in stock a wide colour range
of polyester resins which have been colour matched to
many popular brands of Quartz. These pre-mixed colours
are a great time saver, reducing the need to blend the
exact colour for a surface using colour pigments or dyes
and other tools. This will cut down on installation time
and provide a better visual result for your customers.
The 41 different colours that we have available for next
day delivery are matched to: Caesarstone, Silestone,
Cambria, Cimstone, Diresco, Quarella, Santamargheritita,
Technistone, Totemquartz and Zodiac and their respective
material ranges. Overleaf, you can find the listed matches
for both Ceasarstone and Silestone. The colour matches for
the above manufacturers are available by request - please
contact us.

Gelling time at 25C:

4-5 mins
Hardening time:
1hr (tack-free after
15 mins)

These resins are all knife grade and are ideal for forming
vertical joins between two slabs of Quartz. They also have a
gel time of approximately 5 minutes at room temperature and
cure relatively quickly after this so create a relatively short
working time for installation teams.

Time Saver

Mix ratio:
2% to 3% hardener
to resin

They work in exactly the same way as regular polyester

resins. They are supplied with a small tube of hardener which
acts as a catalyst to speed up the curing time. They are not
only for quartz, they can be successfully used on a wide
range of other stones such as: granite, marble, limestone
and onyx, to name a few. This means finding a colour for an
unusual natural material is also possible.
These Quartz Colours are an excellent way to ensure perfect
match between material and resin join.

Straight Router VTS

with replaceable milling crown
This is one of the newest products in the Stonetools
range. It was developed in discussions with architectural
masonry companies who have requirements to plunge
cut directly into materials in volume. This process often
results in excessive wear on the tip of the tool. We found
that some masons discarded regular straight routers
even when there was still working diamond on the
bodies of the tools.

Vacuum brazed for

use on a variety of
materials

In partnership with these customers, we have designed a full

bodied straight router with a replaceable M12 crown. Once
the crown has been worn it can be replaced at a lower cost
than the cost of a full tool. This makes them a cost effective
solution and extends the life of the router significantly.
The router body and crown are both coated with vacuum
brazed diamond which make them suitable to be used on
many different types of material. Please see the pages in
this StrongStuff magazine that highlight this type of diamond
technology, if you would like further information.
These tools can accept sintered bonded milling crowns for
applications where the initial plunge cut does not have to be
as fast cutting which extends the life of the tool also.
The length of the body of the router is 35mm, 65mm and
100mm. They are 20mm .
We can supply them with domed or flat replaceable crowns.
Custom diameters, lengths and grits are available on
consultation - please contact us for information.

What is the
manufacturing
process ofvacuum
brazing?
1 The first requirement is
to locate a tool carrier,
the specification will be
application led. It is usually
a steel body which needs
to be cleaned and prepared
2 A dispensing system
injects glue drops onto the
tool surface. Diamond grits
are then sprinkled over this
surface, which are selected
depending on the intended

purpose of the tool.

A braze alloy mix is then
applied over the grits which
contains a reactive metal.
This mix usually contains a
nickel component
3 The tool is then heated in
a special air-tight brazing
furnace at around 1,000C.
The joint area between the
metal body, braze alloy and
diamond grit have direct
heat applied to them. The
temperature of the furnace
is set above the melting
point of the braze alloy but
below the melting point of

the steel body. The molten

braze alloy flows into gaps
between the other two
materials and fuses the
diamond crystals to the
body of the tool. This forms
a strong connection as
it cools. This means that
the diamond particles are
joined at the points on the
steel body of the tool that
comes into contact with
the material being worked.
The grits now leave a
sugar coated affect and
leave a single layer of
diamond on the outside
ofthe tool carrier.

Vacuum Brazed Tools

Technology: Explained
In general terms, brazing is a method of joining
materials by using a filling metal to create this joint.
For stonemasonry tools, this refers to connecting
the part of the tool that performs the operation, the
synthetic diamonds, with the steel carrier. This could
be, for example, the body of a blade. Vacuum brazing
specifically refers to the use of a furnace and heat to
attach a diamond coating to the outside edge of a tool.

What are the

benefits of vacuum
brazed tools?

One of the key

benefits of vacuum
brazing is that
production costs
are lower than
other method for
producing diamond
tools. This means that
the brazed tools we
offer provide customers
good value per meter of
material being worked.
The tools can also be
produced for many
different applications
- the steel bodies
can be manufactured
in a range of sizes
and shapes and the
diamonds brazed
directly into place.
Vacuum brazed blades
are useful for masons
who are cutting varied
materials, or masons
who are working
exclusively with hard
limestones or medium
hardness marbles. They
will find they will cut
just as effectively as
electroplated blades
but last much longer.

Straight routers are

usually produced
with electroplated
or sintered diamond.
However, vacuum
brazed routers offer fast
cutting ability with a
excellent tool life. They
are suited for marble
and limestone working,
they are very popular
with architectural
masons.

Vacuum Brazed
Core Drills are a
useful tool for work
surface fabricators,
tilers and cladding
installation teams.
Because they cut faster
than sintered core drills,
users are more likely
to achieve a cleaner
chip-free cut.
