Dear Miss Pure Sparkle Pageant Contestant/Sponsor,


CONGRATULATIONS on participating on this incredible journey. This is going to be an event
that you will keep in your hearts forever. We are honored to have you as a participant, its in our
hopes that you will find this a very rewarding experience to cherish for a lifetime.
You will have the opportunity to meet other parents and participants from surrounding cities.
There will be engagements before and after the pageant to increase the girls knowledge on
outreach, self-esteem, etiquette, and purity. Please read all of the information carefully and make
sure you adhere to all deadlines stated. We have included the rules and regulations for you to
familiarize yourself with in your handbook. This should answer most, if not all of your questions,
but feel free to call or email us at anytime. For your records, please note our email address is

GENERAL INFORMATION & DEADLINES:


Keep this handbook in your possession throughout the pageant and study it carefully before
filling out your forms. Follow all instructions explicitly. In order to reserve your place in the
pageant you must return the PAGEANT ENTRY FORM along with your $60.00 nonrefundable Pageant Registration Fee before the deadline. This will reserve your place in The
Miss Pure Sparkle Pageant and will give us an indication of our needs, etc. The ABSOLUTE
DEADLINE for all completed forms and fees is shown BELOW. PLEASE READ AND
FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. Anything that is incorrectly executed will be
promptly returned.thus causing an unfavorable delay for the participant. ALL FORMS
MUST BE TYPEWRITTEN OR NEATLY PRINTED.

PAYMENTS:
All fees must be submitted in CERTIFIED FUNDS, Business Sponsored Checks, Cash, Credit
Card Visa, MasterCard, PayPal payments, and Go Fund Me. All checks and/or money orders
are to be made payable to the Sparkle Nation, LLC. Because of the extensive planning for such
an event, no refunds will be made. No exceptions will be made for this or any of the other
deadlines that you will receive in your handbook. It is emphasized that fees for the pageant are
very nominal and may be SPONSORED. REGISTRATION CLOSES FEBRUARY 9, 2017 IF
REGISTERED AFTER DEADLINE A 25.00 LATE FEE WILL BE ACCESSED SPACES

TICKETS. EACH TICKET WILL BE PRICED AT 10.00 (TICKETS AT THE DOOR
WILL BE PRICED (15.00 EACH)

SPONSORSHIP PROCEDURES/ADS/TICKET SALES


A maximum of TEN (10) SPONSORS will be listed for each participant in the official state
program book. More than 10 will be shown as Friends & Family of the participant. These
sponsors may aid in helping provide your $60.00 entry fee, $100.00 Ad Requirements, Ticket
Sales, and additional needs for the participant. A special section in the program book has been
designated to give recognition to your sponsors and Ads. PLEASE BE SURE THAT THE
SPONSORS NAME IS CORRECTLY SPELLED. Participants needing additional business
sponsorship should emphasize the importance of community backing for a worthwhile youth
program of this kind. Being a business sponsor brings recognition to the sponsor as a supporter
of youth activities that offer opportunities to young people to help further education on outreach
and community services.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS - REGISTRATION:


This is a tentative schedule of events for The Miss Pure Sparkle Beauty Pageant with your
official registration forms. Please read the schedule carefully. Upon arrival, go to the registration
desk and get signed in. Then proceed to the pageant registration area where you will receive your
official CONTESTANT PACKET and all official badges, etc. Dont forget to bring your talent
CD if applicable. All pageant events have been conveniently scheduled so that the participants
and chaperones will have ample time to get to and from each activity. Participants must report to
the staging area NO LATER THAN 15 MINUTES.

Pre/Post Events
The Pure Sparkle Beauty Pageant is a 1- day event on March 25, 2017
There will one Sparkle Session leading up to the final event.
Pre: Photo-shoot (Headshot), Outreach activity, and Sparkle Session (Self-esteem, Purity,
Etiquette, and Positive Body Imaging.) WILL ALL TAKE PLACE DURING THE SPARKLE
SESSION.
One practice on March 24, 2017 (Logistics Rehearsal)
Post: Photo-shoot and continued outreach activities in the community.
All winners will be featured in the Sparkle Nation, LLC. Newsletter, The State Newspaper,
Sparkle Nations Fan Page/ Website, Local/State Parades, Local Magazines, and other
promotional opportunities that may arise.

SCHEDULE

JUDGING:
The adjudication at The Miss Pure Sparkle Beauty Pageant is of the highest, unexcelled quality
with an experienced panel of judges using a point and consultation system. The judges decision
is always final and no posting of the ballots or rating is permitted. DO NOT ASK THE JUDGES
FOR COMMENTS after the pageant as they are NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE PERSONAL
CRITIQUES. Personal critiques will be available at the directors discretion following the
pageant. All participants will appear in the following categories: Evening Wear (Formal Gown)
Baby Sparkle Division (1-category Dress Only) The Tiny Miss, and Little Miss Divisions:
When I Grow Up (Attire that will reflect their future occupation) Junior Miss and Miss
Division: Casual Personality Wear (Attire that expresses their Sparkle) Interview Wear:
(Appropriate dress or business attire) Miss Division: Talent (Appropriate attire that reflects
their talent choice) All participants will introduce themselves at the microphone during their
opening dance routine.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF WINNER/DIVISIONS:


We are all Winners! The official Miss Pure Sparkle title holders should conduct themselves with
the dignity of the important title they hold. Before the pageant the girls will participate in a
Sparkle Session that includes a workshop on Positive Body Imaging, Self-esteem, Purity, and
Etiquette Sessions.

contestant will get a Certificate and T-shirt, for participating along with other fun trinkets to keep as precious
memories! Before the pageant the girls will participate in one outreach activity in the local community. This
will prepare them for the Pageant!

CONDUCT:
We take pride in Godly conduct. Participants and adults should display good manners, grooming,
listening to and acknowledging instructions, adjusting to conditions, maintaining discipline,
dependability, and above all displaying excellent sportsmanship at all times. Any parent, teacher,
guest, director or participant who conducts themselves in an unsportsmanlike/unladylike manner
(before, during, or after the Pageant) will be subject to immediate dismissal from our pageant
system. Such conduct on the part of the participant will mean automatic forfeiture of all awards
and no refunds will be given.
NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES will be allowed in or around the staging area or public areas of
the staging facility. This rule is enforced throughout all the activities and includes participants,
parents, staff, directors and guests viewing the event. Any violation of this rule will mean
immediate disqualification.

PAGEANT STANDARDS:
NOTE: Make-up is allowed but not required. A standard of modesty must be maintained
throughout the pageant (includes interview attire, formal wear, talent, and dance routine attire
along with your every day wear around the pageant facility, and outreach activities.)

LIMITATIONS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The pageant will NOT assume the responsibility for lost articles or personal property and is NOT
responsible for accidents, mishaps, or the personal care of the participants. This is the sole
responsibility of the chaperone. The pageant does not assume any liability or responsibility
beyond the limitations of The Miss Pure Sparkle Pageant & Insurance Program. Each
participants parents or official guardian MUST sign the official liability release form which is
included in the handbook.

TALENT: (MISS PURE SPARKLE DIVISION ONLY


Recorded Music: Must be recorded in stereo on a new (never used) high quality CD only. Only
one (1) talent selection should be recorded on the CD. Two (2) copies of the CD should be made:
(1) Original CD for the performance; (2) Backup CD to be held in reserve in case something
happens to the original and for practice. Extreme heat can destroy CDs so do not expose to
direct sun! A direct professional recording is required.. A stop in the CD for dialogue, etc.,
will NOT be allowed; however, dialogue may be timed to a continuous running CD. Music
should be edited to stop at the end of the talent presentation. The CD case label must be clearly
marked with instructions if there is a pause in the music or the song has a false ending. CDs
are to be made prior to the pageant and there are no facilities for recording on location. You will
be expected to turn in one (1) copy of your talent music at registration.
SPECIAL NOTE: TALENT PRESENTATIONS MUST NOT EXCEED 2:30 MINUTES IN
LENGTH. PLEASE KEEP THEM TO AN AVERAGE OF 2:00 MINUTES. Overtime talents
will automatically be disqualified from receiving either the Overall Title or any award!
Additionally, the runway (if applicable) MAY NOT be used for talent presentations. Individual
talent rehearsals will NOT be held during the pageant. All talent presentations which include a
singing or speaking part MUST use a microphone. We will provide ALL microphones. A pretaped accompaniment is suggested. All props must be small enough to be carried onto the stage
by no more than two (2) people. Individual scenery will not be allowed; however, a working
prop may be used if essential to the performance. Any equipment, other than a piano, sound
equipment and microphones will be the sole responsibility of the contestant. The pageant does
not assume any responsibility for loss or damage to props during the event. If a prop is used, the
chaperone or talent teacher must accompany the participant backstage before the talent act to
supervise the placement of the prop. Parents will NOT otherwise be allowed in the backstage
area at any time. You have your choice to stage lighting, either a well lighted stage with a
spotlight, a well lighted stage with no spot or a darker stage with a follow spot. Please indicate
on your official talent forms what you will prefer. Talent presentations or costumes of a
suggestive nature will mean automatic disqualification from competition. Discretion should be
used in selecting talent material that is too mature or adult for the participants age division.
Garment removal is not allowed. All microphones and sound equipment will be provided by the
pageant.

SELECTING YOUR WARDROBE:


Your competition wardrobe should consist of one (1) T-Shirt and jeans/skirt for the opening
production number (1) When I Grow Up/ Career Wear: outfit that is casual and useful pertaining
to the contestants career. (Mini Miss, Tiny Miss. Little Miss ONLY) (1) Interview Wear
(Junior Miss and Miss ONLY) (1) Evening Wear (ALL PARTICIPANTS) miniskirts or any
inappropriate attire is not acceptable for formal wear competition.
Baby Sparkle Division: (1- NICE DRESS ONLY!)

Baby Sparkle Division: Will raise funds for their title! The
participant with the most funds will win The Baby Sparkle
Crown. This Division will also have special awards: Best
Dressed, Miss Personality, etc.
ADDTIONAL ADVERTISING
Additional sponsors can be obtained by anyone. Also we will be doing a Pre- Photo Shoot for all
participants (Headshots) Post Photo-Shoot for all Division Winners.

GIFT TABLE / GIFT SHOP: OPTIONAL


One of the highlights for all participants is the exchanging of good luck gifts for those special
friends you have made during the pageant. A special table for each age division will be available
in the Sparkle Diva Gift Shop where gifts will be delivered. Make sure you tag each gift showing
who it is for and who it is from. Chaperones and Family members may also deliver gifts for their
very own Pure Sparkle Little Lady. This is a wonderful way to show the participant how proud
you are of them and what a great job they have done during this ministry. Look for their
information in the gift shop. Gifts are certainly not mandatory in order to participate in The Miss
Pure Sparkle Pageant. You will have an official list with names and pictures of each participant
so that you can give a small gesture of love and unity. GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU, AND
REMEMBER ITS NOT ABOUT THE EXTERIOR ITS ABOUT THE PUREST OF
HEART!

Handbook, and by The Miss Pure Sparkle Pageant Board of Directors. I agree to
hold Sparkle Nation, LLC., Elite Forces of Destruction Dance Co. along with The
Miss Pure Sparkle Pageant, its directors, and staff members harmless of all
damages. This includes theft, accident, or injury during or resulting from my
childs participation in the pageant. I accept the responsibility for the regulation of
hours, personal conduct, and activities of my child. I affirm that the enclosed forms
