CEMENTING

Applications
BA-86L is a Styrene-Butadiene latex cement additive that provides excellent fluid loss control, low viscosity,
enhanced bonding, and acid resistance. When used with the proper stabilizers, BA-86L has a temperature range
of up to 400F. BA-86L can be used in a wide variety of cement slurries for all primary and remedial cementing
applications.

Features
Excellent Fluid Loss Control
Controls the rate of fluid loss, which is central to the success of many cementing operations, by limiting the filtrate
loss to permeable strata. Fluid loss values of 50 cc/30 minutes are easily obtained.
Low Viscosity
Exhibits not only low fluid loss but also low viscosity which enhances slurry mixability, and allows for low fluid loss
slurries to be pumped in turbulent flow.
Enhanced Bonding
By being able to be pumped in turbulent flow at low rates and with the bonding nature of the polymer, excellent
casing and formation bonding are achieved.
Acid Resistance
When used at higher concentrations these slurries exhibit excellent resistance to HCl and HCl/HF acids.
Thermal Stability
Stable at temperatures below 200F (93C) and can be used with the proper stabilizers to 400F (204C).
Compatibility
Compatible with API, pozzolan and Lite-Wate cements, as well as most cement additives.

Benefits
Excellent fluid loss control with low viscosity.
Superior bond logs.
Provides acid resistance.
Good compressive strength development.
Wide application range.
