Structural Functionalism is a sociological theory that attempts to explain why society functions the way it does by focusing on the

social group, that critique the broad socio-political system, or that otherwise detract from structural functionalism and ideological
conservatism.

Symbolic interactionism is a school of thought in sociology that explains social behavior in terms of how people interact with each
other via symbols; in this view, social structures are best understood in terms of such individual interactions.

Ash Wednesday derives its name from the practice of blessing ashes made from palm
branches blessed on the previous year's Palm Sunday, and placing them on the heads
of participants to the accompaniment of the words "Repent, and believe in the Gospel"
or "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return".
