MISSION
UP ALCHEMES aims to promote academic excellence within and
outside the organization, and foster holistic growth and
development of its members. Hence, it organizes worthwhile
programs and projects that assist in the pursuit of higher scholastic
achievements and prepares its members for their professional
careers. The organization also serves as a venue for the exchange of
ideas and interests, as well as development of camaraderie among
chemical engineering majors.

VISION
UP ALCHEMES shall be recognized as among the premier student
organizations in the University in terms of academic excellence,
holistic growth, and professionalism. As such, UP ALCHEMES shall
continuously produce highly competent and professional
chemical engineers, provide service to the University and the
country, and conduct activities with the highest possible

ABOUT US
Forged from the mission of giving the students a wider sense of the
chemical engineering world, the Chemical Engineering Students
Summit Philippines (ChESSPH) is an annual gathering of
undergraduate students from different colleges and universities
across the country. It is an assembly that houses a series of events
aimed to increase awareness on issues, topics and trends on
chemical engineering and related elds.

OUR VISION
ChESSPH will be regarded as the premiere annual event for chemical
engineering undergraduates in the Philippines in terms of the quality
of the programs offered and the extent of its reach. It will be an event
highlighting the importance of the promotion of excellence in
chemical engineering as a discipline in the country.

UPSTREAM: Career Paths Seminar

Upstream provides an avenue for the participants

regarding various career opportunities in chemical
engineering. This aims to help our future chemical
engineers in deciding which course to pursue.

EQUIP: Corporate Workshop

Equip provides future chemical engineers with the

essential skills necessary to achieve their
professional goals. This years corporate workshop
will provide a hands-on experience for the
participants to enhance their aptitudes.

CAChE: Career Fair

The Career Assistance for Chemical Engineering

Students (CAChE) features booths from different
companies and sponsors that would like to offer jobs
and internships. It also gives an insight on various career
opportunities for the future chemical engineers.

ENIGMA: Group Dynamics Activity

Enigma is a game based on the movie The Imitation

Game. It aims to bring out the participants wit, skills
and strategy as they work together in groups.

PLANT TOUR

The plant tour provides an interactive and informative

experience to the participants as they deepen their
appreciation of the chemical engineering profession by
witnessing the real-life application of what they have learned
inside the classroom.

SUBEVENTS
BREAKTHROUGH:

Idea Generation Seminar

Breakthrough is a seminar series that aims to give the

participants new knowledge in chemical engineering as
well as present them ideas about possible topics for
research. The talks will consist of two parts an overview of the topic being discussed followed by
an in-depth discussion on specic points that will
provide research opportunities.

CONNECT:

Chemical Engineering in the Society

Connect aims to empower the participants by broadening

their understanding about the importance of our
profession in the nation. Also, this subevent aims to come
up with other ways on how chemical engineers can impact
our world.

SYNERGY: Chemical Engineering Expo

Synergy is a competition that will test the knowledge of

the participants about chemical engineering. It will
feature different challenges related to the three
paradigms of chemical engineering - transport
phenomena, chemical reaction, and thermodynamics. It
also aims to develop the skills in creative and critical
thinking of the participants, as well as their teamwork.

REGALE: Culminating Night

This sub-event will be a night of fun party, socialization

among participants and organizers. Through this, the
chemical engineering undergraduates get the opportunity to
broaden and strengthen their networks and further establish
camaraderie among their peers.

REGISTRATION
1. REGISTER ONLINE
Individuals who wish to participate in this year's Chemical Engineering Students
Summit Philippines may register online by visiting the website
(www.chessph.org/register)
2. SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT
The participant must sign up for a ChESSPH account online by lling up the necessary
information as requested in the online registration form
3. SUBMIT THE FORM
Check and verify if all the information supplied are accurate. The information in the
registration form will strictly remain condential and will only be used for the event
and its duration.
4. ACTIVATION OF THE ACCOUNT
Once the form is submitted, a conrmation message will be sent to the participant's
email. The participant must click the link in the email to activate the account. Once
activated, the participant may log into and out of the ChESSPH website anytime to
update details and check announcements.
5. AVAILING OF PLANT TOUR
When logged in, the participant can go into their Dashboard
(www.chessph.org/prole/dashboard), and choose to avail of the Plant Tour.
Once chosen, click Update and a conrmation message will be shown.
6. PAYMENT
When logged in, the participant can go into their Dashboard
(www.chessph.org/prole/dashboard), and click Request for Billing. A message will be
sent to the participant's email containing a breakdown of the fees that needs to be
settled. Payment must be deposited to our bank account.
7. VALIDATION OF PAYMENT
The participant must validate their payment by logging in and lling up the necessary
payment details in their dashboard. Once veried, the participants ChESSPH account
will be tagged as "paid".
8. END OF REGISTRATION
The participant is now ofcially registered for ChESSPH 2017. Regularly log into
your account and watch out for updates and announcements from the organizers.
