Alcantara was a minor. The fact that the latter, for and in
consideration of P500, executed an affidavit, whereby he
ratified the deed of sale, is of no moment. He was still a
minor. The majority opinion invokes the rule laid down in
the case of Mercado et al. vs. Espiritu, 37 Phil., 215. The
rule laid down by this Court in that case is based on three
judgments rendered by the Supreme Court of Spain on 27
April 1860, 11 July
