My name is Omar Crdova Berrocal, Im thirty eigth years old. Im a mechanic
engineer from Universidad Nacional del Callao of Per.
I live in Medelln (Colombia) at Carlos E. Restrepo neighborhood because is the
city where I have my company, but I born in Lima. My phone number is 321 285 11
72 and im student industrial engineer.

Medelln, the City of Eternal Spring

Medelln is located at department of Antioquia, at northwest of Colombia, around
420 Km of the Capital, Bogot. Because of its warm weather, Medelln is known as
The City of Eternal Spring, due to its average temperature is around 25C.
By the middle of the city, crosses the Aburr River, better known like Medelln
River, forming what is known as Valle de Aburr.
The city has a lot of tourist atractives: Parque Explora, Antioquia Museum, Botero
Square, Pueblito Paisa, Pies Descalzos park, the zoo, botanical garden, planetary
and diferents public parks.
Surrounding Medelln you can find 5 the rural area compound by 5 village outside:
Altavista, San Antonio de Prado, San Sebastin de Palmitas, San Cristbal and
Santa Elena. This last one, is very visited for tourist during La Feria de las Flores,
traditional holiday celebrated during the first week of august. Is in Santa Elena
where grow the flowers used in the silletas, structures made for carrying the
flowers in the traditional silleteros parade.

Like in whole department, the typical and delicious dish of Medelln is the Bandeja
Paisa, that is prepared with beans, rice, egg, avocado, chicharrn (bacon), mature
banana, arepa, ground beef, salad and a drink made with corn, named mazamorra.
The Bandeja Paisa is the colombian emblematic dish too. There is another dish
known like Sancocho, that is very famous in Medelln too.
In Medelln we can do diferents activities like paragliding launch with a cost around
US.$40; a city tour by Turibus US.$20 and travel around the city by Chiva that
costs US.$10.
Medelln is a friendly city, with a very nice weather where you feel at home.

Popayan, the white city of Colombia

Popayan is located at department of Cauca. It is known as the white city of
Colombia. Many of his architecture are from colonys time. The weather is cool and
sunny during the day. At nights temperature is cooler, disease until 10 C.

There you can eat some typical desserts as almendras, cortado, those ones I
really like it. Definitely, you have to try hervido it is a typical drink, made with
panela.
Popayan is a colonial city, so you can find many places to visit. The central square
has wonderful trees. There are many churches over the city. The bridge of El
Humilladero is another interesting place. Also, you can go to pueblito payanes, it
is a small reproduction of the centre.

Hiking it is a very good plan, you can walk around, buy some handmade stuff. At
nights you can go to a caf, pub or bar. There are many of them. Generally
Popayan, it is a cheap city, you can eat in restaurants for good prices. Maybe, if
you are lucky you can see a wonderful sunset at the morro.
