Erasmus+ 30th anniversary is launched

Details of this years 30th Anniversary celebrations have just been announced.
Call for Young People
Looking a bit ahead, as the European Parliament is starting to prepare the programme of the European
Youth Event to take place in Strasbourg in May 2018 (EYE2018). The EYE organising unit of the
European Parliament is looking for speakers and moderators (preferably under 30). They are looking
for young people who are (i) high-level personalities with a meaningful message for young people (ii)
inspirational speakers and (iii) moderators

STUDY TOUR TO BRUSSELS, Monday 17th April to Friday 21st April 2017.
TEAMGlobal is an independent non-party political educational charity. We organise conferences in
schools and universities on a range of topics for students and study tours for students and teachers
from around the UK and abroad. This study tour is designed for a group of up to 30 undergraduate
students, teachers and other professionals. It will give participants an in-depth understanding of the
institutions that we visit.
Details for Brussels 2017: During the study tour in 2017, we will visit the European Parliament,
European Commission, Council of the EU, the EEAS, UKREP, SHAPE, US Mission to the EU and the
Council of Europe. We also plan to visit the German Representation to the EU.
Accommodation: We will be staying in the centre of Brussels at Hotel Carrefour de lEurope, one
minute from Grand Place.
Cost: The cost of the study tour includes travel by Eurostar, 4 nights en suite accommodation with
breakfast, welcome dinner on the first night, lunch at the SHAPE club and UKREP and all travel in
Brussels. The price of a shared room is 395.00. The price of a single room is 595.00. Please note
participants who are not EU citizens will need to pay an additional 100. This is because non-EU
citizens cannot receive the subsidy from the EU parliament, which has been included in the price.

Young people between the ages of 18 and 30 can sign up for new opportunities to make an important
contribution to society across the EU, and to gain invaluable experience and acquire valuable skills at
the start of their career. The Commission is also presenting a series of measures to boost youth
employment, improve and modernise education, more investment in skills of young people, and
better opportunities to learn and study abroad.
