Teaching Philosophy
I believe that every student deserves to be taught knowledge and skills that prepare them for the future.
This is best achieved in a safe learning environment where students are taught in the way they learn best.
As a teacher this will require an open mind and a commitment to students first and learning second.

Activities and Interests
Dance

Have taken lessons in a variety of disciplines since age 3, including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and modern.
Danced competitively in 2012 and 2013 and am currently dancing recreationally. Took Modern Dance at
a university level in 2015.
Oboe

Began playing at 12 years old and through high school and played with the Red Deer Symphonic Winds in
my second year of university.
Synchronized Swimming

Part of the Rocky Synchronauts from 2007 to 2014. I was an assistant coach for the team from 2012 to
2014
Piano

Took piano for 10 years. Took Royal Conservatory of Music exams and played piano for the school jazz
band in grade 8.
