The Solo Parents Welfare Act (Benefits and Privileges of Solo Parents According to
R.A. 8972) - an act providing for benefits and privileges to solo parents and their
children, appropriating funds therefor and for other purposes. The Barangay Social
Service Person and his fellow members in our barangay was conducting an annual
meeting for the purpose of case to case basis. The said activity is held at Barangay
Krus Na Ligas for achieving the Implementation of Rules and Regulation (I.R.R) in
Quezon City only but they are also aiming it for Nationwide, this 2016 Revised
Implementing Rules and Regulations, hereinafter called the IRR, is promulgated
pursuant to Section 75 of Republic Act No. (R.A.) 9184, otherwise known as the
Government Procurement Reform Act, for the purpose of prescribing the necessary
rules and regulations for the modernization, standardization, and regulation of the
procurement activities of the Government of the Philippines (GoP).
The organization named Solo Parent Federation LuzViMin (Luzon, Visayas and
Mindanao) for nationwide. If necessarily needed, their meetings were every 3
months.
Further, the Republic Act 8972 was already a law though not implemented due to
circumstances. But, if implemented the Magna Carta will be next.
The benefits of Solo parent would be as follows:

3. Solo Parents Welfare Act and Work Benefits to Solo-Parent Employees

The organization would conduct a seminars and distribution of pamphlets to

introduce the Solo Parents Act to community to inform, consult, involve,
collaborate and empower through public meetings to only smaller communities
and communities where audience are willing or persuade to attend. Second,
reaching out the established groups by means of web sites and media.
Therefore, the general public would be able to improve their self-awareness and
informed regarding to the issues of Solo Parenting.
