Criticize the superiority of fluency over the accuracy.

I would like to start with the definition of both terms provided in my

topic.
As we can read in oxford dictionary, fluency is the ability to speak or write
a particular foreign language and to express oneself easily. In other words
fluency is ability to read, speak or write easily, smoothly and expressively.
Speaker can understand and respond in a language clearly and concisely
while relating meaning and context.
In contrast to that, accuracy is the ability to produce correct sentences
using grammar and vocabulary.
I strongly believe that the learning of a language is about
communication. Fluency should be the main goal in teaching and it should
be practiced right from the start. When youre first starting to speak in any
foreign, its important to just get talking. You have to be brave enough to
spit out the words, learn to pronounce them and start putting them
together in sentences. When you start creating sentences, you will learn to
become more accurate naturally. By using such activities as role play,
discussions, debate, story making, interview and problem solving,
teachers prepare their students to real life situations (when they will have
to use foreign language). These activities help them to feel more
comfortable and increase students self-confidence while talking to a
foreigner. Language teachers who concentrate on fluency help their
students to express themselves in fluent English. They pay more attention
to meaning and context and are less concerned with grammatical errors.
Students practice communication strategies to keep the conversation
flowing. Errors do not matter. If the aim is to gain accuracy, activities focus
more on eliminating errors by using correct grammar. Teachers who
concentrate on accuracy help their students to produce grammatically
correct written and spoken English. All in all, students are less motivated
when they are constantly corrected by the teacher and have to
concentrate on mistakes. It can lead to decline /dklan/ in motivation.

In contrary to accuracy, while learning fluency, students see the clear
purpose of studying a foreign language. It increases their motivation. They
can use words, phrases they have learned during English lessons. Students
know what to say, to whom and when.
According to Richards book, Communicative Language Teaching Today, we
should focus on accuracy, because it:
Reflect natural use of language
Focus on achieving communication
Require meaningful use of language
Require the use of communication strategies

Produce language that may not be predictable /prdk.t.bl/

Seek to link language use to context
Taking everything into consideration both accuracy and fluency are
important in teaching foreign language, but how can you correct a student
(accuracy) if the student cant speak (fluency)? First teachers should
concentrate on accuracy and then on accuracy.
