Budgeting Personal Finances and Accounting for Sari-Sari Store Owners

In the aspect of business, accumulating losses considered a typical scenario that

may occur due to unmanaged and costly expenditures or the absence of a well-planned
budget list. Keeping your finances in track is very essential in monitoring and managing
ones business. This process of budgeting allows you to prioritize first your major needs
while temporarily setting aside those unnecessary wants. It enables an owner to be
focused on something that is more valuable and keeps in mind that every peso he earns
must be spent wisely so he would not slowly sink deeper into a debt every year. This
sense of financial clarity and knowledge of the breakdown of your expenses will help
you achieve your financial goals more efficiently and effectively.

With this in mind, the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of

Accountants Region IV will conduct a one-day seminar on the province of Rizal,
Quezon and Cavite which focuses on the importance of budgeting personal finances
and accounting for sari-sari store owners. This seminar will aid every business owners
and future entrepreneurs to be aware on whats going on with their money no matter
how much or little they have.

Purpose

This project aims to provide the sari-sari store owners with a closer look of the
present and future setting of their business. This will give them the ability to control their
finances and not the other way around. Managing and accounting ones income and
expenditures properly will let them eliminate future losses and able to make adjustments
in case of unexpected costs and future potential money problems.

Objectives

The activity aims the following:

To provide comprehensive understanding about proper management of funds

for sari-sari store owners in Region IV;
 To enhance the ability of business owners in Region IV in managing their
funds;
To provide general information about accounting and budgeting personal
finances;
To promote proper accounting and budgeting to all profit organizations.
