Transforming our island and the nations through discipleship and Church

Planting

Gods grace and peace to you!

Wed love for you to see what God is doing in the Island! Join us and be part of what
God is doing in Santiago, Dominican Republic and the other side of the Island, Haiti.

God has called us to bring transformation in every village and city of the island
(Hispaniola) by making disciple makers and by equipping movement makers who
will transform the Caribbean, and the ends of the earth.

We believe in transformational partnership. When a network of churches work together,

transformation of a community can become a reality as more of the community is actually
lifted. Every time churches put their hands together around the purpose of community
transformation, they become the answer of Jesus prayer in John 17.

Would you pray about joining us in this adventure and partner with us to make an eternal
impact in both DR and/or Haiti?

We are so thankful that you are considering working alongside us in DR and/or Haiti. We
look forward to partnering together for the transformation of the Island.

In Him,

Stanley Philippe

I will also make you a light for the Nations, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.

Isaiah 49:6
Frequently asked questions about DR Trip:

What are you guys about?

We are a community that loves God, loves people, serves passionately (the needy
and poor) and intentionally makes disciples who make disciples.

What is your vision?

Partner with God to build a loving community, a discipling community, a sending

community that multiplies throughout the Island and the nations and give people a
glimpse of the Kingdom of God by modeling what love, justice, faith and
compassion look like.

What are the objectives for a short term trip in the DR?

A short-term trip would help us raise up laborers, train disciples to be disciple

makers, train our leaders and reach out the city holistically and see a harvest.

We are looking for a partnership where we each bring our strengths, resources and
budgets to bear on a single mission, vision and objectives that will be bigger than
either of us could accomplish on our own. We want to see His Kingdom come in
Hispaniola.

What are the main ministries we could do on the trip?

Discipleship (T4T)
Street Evangelism
Church planting
Prayer hunting
Drama (on Parks, Malls, Schools, TV and Radio programs)
Seek out houses and people of peace
Train our leaders
Serve and teach on our Kids' development program
Pray for the sick
Give English Class

What airport will we fly into?

We are based in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Therefore, its better to fly into
Santiagos Airport.

What to expect when you visit the DR?

Dominican Republic is considered a third world country, but it is one of the

most beautiful countries in the Caribbean; you will love its people, nature,
beaches and rivers. The Dominican Republic has a very warm culture, and
people are very open and friendly, and it is not uncommon to be invited in from
off the street into peoples homes. The population is estimated to be 10 million.
The city of Santiago is surrounded by mountains, and you can almost always
see them off in the distance. The mountains are beautiful, and also yield some
amazing sunrises and sunsets. Although the city is surrounded by mountains,
Santiago is still relatively flat with mild hills.

Temperature: The climate of the Dominican Republic is mostly tropical. The

annual average temperature is 25 C (77 F) with a cool breeze. January and
February are the coolest months of the year, while August is the hottest
month. Some snowflakes can fall in rare occasions on the top of the Pico
Duarte. For more information about Santiago please visit the following
links:

How can we start praying for you and the DR?

Pray for Gods Kingdom to come in every city and village of the Island.
Pray for better relationship between Haitians and Dominicans in the DR.
Pray for our leaders to be inspired, motivated and strengthened by the Spirit of
God.
Pray we would have GRACE to communicate the HEART of GOD boldly in a
way that would pierce and convince the hearts.
Pray for a Spirit of WISDOM, REVELATION, AUTHORITY and LOVE over us
and our leaders.
Pray that God would raise up laborers from here that would become
missionaries to the Caribbean and the nations.
Pray for provision for our new building.

Do not get involved romantically with someone. Consult your team leader
and/or your missionary to know what to do.

missionary family in the DR.

What kind of electrical voltage do you have in the DR?

Same as USA, so pack your chargers.

What do previous teams say about their experiences in the DR?

1. Jeremy Kendricks This is my first trip to the nations and I have been blown
away. Stanley, you are such a warrior in the kingdom. You know that the church
is made of many parts and you are an amazing example of stewarding other
groups of people in your ministry. Ive always heard that fruit comes like crazy
when the body of Christ is working together for His glory. I see this in your team
here in the DR. This experience has transformed me!

2. Kelsey White I have been blown away by your faith and love for people! God
really makes you guys bear fruit here, and it was an honor and delight to serve
with you guys the past few weeks. You guys have changed my perspective
about whats possible for God to do, and about what it looks like to love people
well and shepherd them as they grow up in Jesus.

3. For LSU senior Bridgette Savoie, her week spent in the Dominican Republic
allowed her to encounter God in an entirely new way. I got to see salvations
and healings almost every day because of everyones huge faith. The way that
God takes care of His people is evident in the D.R. and the way that people are
laying their lives down to follow Him is beautiful. I will never forget how alive I
felt seeing new lives begun with Jesus, Savoie said.

4. Jacob Brooks- the Lord's hands are definitely at work here. I am so glad I got
to be a part of it. This trip to the DR has helped me grow in my faith so much
and I thank God for that. I look forward to seeing you again.

5. Katie Williams- Wow! This trip has been amazing and you guys have been so
generous and caring. I definitely want to come back sometimes. This has been
a God-filled experience, I will never forget it. The country is so wonderful and I
am going to miss it. You will be in our hearts and prayers!

Should I learn some Spanish before the Trip?

Learn a few Spanish sentences before the trip, so you can communicate and connect
with the locals. Dominicans love when foreigners try to speak their language. They
really appreciate the effort!
Weve put together a list of the most common words in Spanish. Learn some of them
and have fun communicating with Dominicans. That will help you to connect with them,
they will love it.
