Scene 1
Setting: House

Jirro: Grandma! Grandma! Im gonna tell you something. (running to

Xynthea)
Xynthea (old): What is it my son? (sitting at a chair)
Jirro: Its about the girl I like.
Xynthea: What about her?
Jirro: Shes my best friend.
Xynthea: Is there anything wrong with that?
Jirro: None Grandma, but I dont know if shes feeling the same.
Xynthea: Why dont you ask her? Tell her the truth what you really feel.
Confess it to her.
Jirro: Im not brave enough, Grandma.
Xynthea: (laughs) I remember your grandpa, He was my best friend back
then.
Jirro: (confused)Really? then How did you end up being together?
Xynthea: Let me tell you our own story.

(Xynthea will start singing the first two lines of WHEN I MET YOU)
(Close Curtain)

Scene 2
Setting: Classroom

(Open Curtain)
(Younger Xynthea continues the first stanza of WHEN I MET YOU)

Jett: Sorry Im late!

Teacher: Okay you may take your seat
Xynthea: *then you came*
Teacher: Ms. Hughes! Are you listening?
Xynthea: Y-yes maam.
Teacher: Then,can you explain what is mutation?
Xynthea:
Teacher: You are not allow-

(Bell)

Jett: Hey Xynthea are you okay?

Xynthea: Of course, I am.
Jett: Okay then, lets go.
Xynthea: Where are we going?
Jett: Obviously, its lunch time. Where do you think were going?
Xynthea: Im asking you seriously. *rolls eye*
Jett: Youre asking the obvious. *laughs*

Scene 3
Setting: Canteen

(entrance of Cyrill)
(Music: Raspberry Girl)
(Cyrill singing Raspberry Girl chorus)
(dances Xynthea)
(Jett pulled Xynthea)

Jett: What was that?

Xynthea: What?
Jett: Do you know that person?
Xynthea: Of course not.
Jett: Hes a gangster. And I bet he likes you.
Xynthea: (shocked) Whatever, Lets eat.

(while eating)

Jett: Prom is near . What are your plans?

Xynthea: I havent told mom about it. So, whos your date? (whispers) wishing it is
me
Jett: I havent ask my date yet.
Xynthea: Whos the lucky girl?

(entrance of Sloane)
(slow motion)
(entrance extra singer sings Your love with back up dancer)

Jett: Shes the girl I like to be my date (smiles)

Xynthea: Sloane? Really? (shocked)
Jett: Yes. By the way, whos that guy? (points the extra singer)
Xynthea: I dont know.

Back up dancer 1: They are looking at us

Back up dancer 2: Lets go this is embarrassing.
(Back up dancers pulls the singer away.)

(close curtain)

Scene 4
Setting:Library

(Jett looks for Sloane)

(Can you be my prom date?)

Sloane: Im sorry. I already have a date. (walks away)

Jett: (stops Sloane) (sings before I let you go)
Sloane: I have a boyfriend (removes Jetts hand)
(Jett schocked)
Xynthea: What happened?
Jett: (hugs Xynthea) She already have a boyfriend.
(Xynthea sings Tell me where it hurts)
Jett: Thank you! Youre the best! (smiles)
Xynthea: I can be your prom date instead. (shrugs)
Jett: (laughs) Are you kidding me?

(close curtain)

Scene 5
Setting: Street

(Xynthea walking alone)

(Cyrill shows up and sings Love of my life)
(Back-up Gangster shows Can you be my prom date?)
(Xynthea looks at Cyrill)

Xynthea: NO!
Cyrill: Why? Because of that boy?
Xynthea: What?
Cyrill: (shouts) WHO IS THAT BOY YOURE ALWAYS WITH?

(Jett saw them arguing)

(Xynthea looks at Jett)

Xynthea: (shouts) HE IS MY BOYFRIEND!

Jett and Cyrill: What?
Cyrill: Youll regret this! (walks away with his back up)
Jett: (mad) What the heck are you saying? That Im your boyfriend? WAKE UP
XYNTHEA! Im not!
Xynthea: Sorry. I only said that because he keeps on bothering me!
Jett: I am courting a girl in school then youre telling Im your boyfriend? Then what
will she feels? That I am only playing with her?
Xynthea: Stop courting her! She already have a boyfriend!
Jett: I dont care! (walks away)
(Xynthea cries)
(Xynthea sings someday)

Scene 6
Setting: School
Prom day

(Live band starts singing The day you said goodnight)

(Xynthea walks alone finding for a sit)
(She saw two girls sitting on a many vacant table)

Xynthea: Can I sit with you?

Extra 1: OMG! You are Xynthea right?
Extra 2: Yes girl! You can sit here.
(Xynthea smiles)
(Live band starts singing Friend of mine)

(Jett sits beside Xynthea)

(Xynthea looks at him)

Jett: Im sorry
Xynthea: (smiles) Its okay.
Jett: Lets dance?
(Xynthea takes his hand)
(They are dancing)

Xynthea: If I were asked to sing that song and dedicate it to someone. Ill dedicate
that song to you.
Jett: Huh?
Xynthea: Nothing *smiles*

(close curtain)

Scene 7
Setting: Jetts Bedroom

Jett: I cant sleep!!

(smiles reminiscing the Prom memories)
(echoed if I were asked)
(search for the lyrics of friend of mine)
(starts singing Stuck)

Scene 8
Setting: School

(Jett runs to Xynthea)

Xynthea: Hey! Why are you running?
Jett: I wanna ask you something
Xynthea: About what?
Jett: About what you said at the prom
Xynthea: Dont think about it. Im out of my mind that night. (laughs ner vously)
Jett: Answer me honestly Xynthea.
Xynthea: (stuttering) W-what?
Jett: Do you like me?
Xynthea: I-I Dont know.
Jett: (hurt) I know its funny because I love my best friend but she doesnt love me
(laughs)
(Jett starts singing Say that you love me / The way you look at me)
Xynthea: (shocked) I dont know what to say.
Jett: Im not asking you to say something. I just wanna let you know what I feel for
you.

(close curtain)

Setting: Xyntheas house
Xyntheas Birthday

Extra: HAPPY BIRTHDAY XYNTHEA!

Xynthea: (smiles) Thank youuu!
Extra 3: Xynthea dont be mad at me. (blind folds Xynthea)
Xynthea: What is happening?

(Extras will bring her to Jett for a date)

(Xynthea removes he blind fold)
(sees Jett with a back up singing stars)
(after singing)
Xynthea: What is this Jett?
Jett: My birthday gift for you
Xynthea: Thank you!
Jett: (smiles) anything for you
Xynthea: I wanna tell you something
Jett: What is it?

(Xynthea starts singing A little Bit)

Jett: (schocked) Really?
Xynthea: (nods)
Jett: Yes! (hugs Xynthea)

(They will sing When I met you chorus)

Scene 10
Setting: Park

(For Xynthea and Jett)

(sweet)
(sings On the wings of love)

Scene 11
Setting:Street

(Xynthea on her way to school)

(Cyrill grabs Xyntheas arm)

Cyrill: Is it true?
Xynthea: What?
Cyrill: Is it true that Jett is your boyfriend?
Xynthea: Ive told you before he is my boyfriend!
Cyrill: I dont believe you.
Xynthea: Then dont. Let go of me
Cyrill: Hes just your best friend. Ive heard your conversation before!
Xynthea: Yes! He is not my boyfriend that time. I lied to you. But now, He is my
partner, my best friend yet my boyfriend. I dont know why I am explaining this to
you!
Cyrill: Ill make him suffer! YOU ARE MINE. ONLY MINE! (walks out)

(close curtain)

(Cyrill walks furiously to Jett)

(Cyrill and Jett fights)

Scene 12
Setting: Hospital

Nurse 1: His cardinal signs are fine doc.

Doctor: Okay, thank you Nurse. (to Jetts mom) Your son suffered from some
hemorrhage. His brain is not damaged, fortunately. For the mean time he need
some rest. Ill let him take some pain reliever.
Nurse 2: Ill the medicine doc.
Jetts mom: Thank you doc.

(Xynthea runs to Jetts mom)

Xynthea: How is he?
Jetts mom: What are you doing here?
Xynthea: Im worried of Jett.
Jetts mom: You are worried? (laughs) Really? You are the reason why he is lying
there!
Xynthea: Im sorry. I didnt know.
Jetts mom: I dont want to see you near him.
Xynthea: But he is my boyfriend.
Jetts mom: Then break up with him! I dont want you for him!
Xynthea: I do love your son, Miss.
Jetts mom: NO! YOU BREAK UP WITH HIM!
Jett: Mom? Why are you shouting? Xynthea?
Jetts mom and Xynthea: JETT!
Jetts mom: You are awake! Finally! Are you okay? Are you feeling something?
Jett: Im fine mom.

(Jetts mom looks at Xynthea)

Jetts mom: Ill let you talk for a while. (walks away)
Jett: What are you talking about? (looks at Xynthea)
Xynthea: (smiles) are you alright?
Jett: I am Xynthea.
Xynthea: Lets uh Lets. Ugh! I cant
Jett: Lets what?
Xynthea: Lets stop this. (cries)
Jett: Why are you crying? Lets stop what?
Xynthea: Damn! Lets stop this! Lets break up!
Jett: What? Why? What is happening! No!
Xynthea: Im sorry. I just cant continue this relationship anymore. (Walks out)
(Jett sings Stay)

Scene 13
Setting: Park

(Xynthea sings Till My Heartaches End)

(Cyrill shows up and comforts Xynthea)
(Cyrill sings Youll Be Safe Here)

Xynthea: This your fault.

Cyrill: Im sorry.
Xynthea: Stay away from me! From us!

Scene 14
Setting:UP and Ateneo

(Extras Dancing First day funk)

Announcer 1: Welcome Skolars ng Bayan! We are here at the University of The

Philippines
Announcer 2: Welcome Back Students! You! Yes you are here at the Ateneo de
Manila University!

(Xynthea walks to UP)

(Jett walks to ADMU)

(they will start singing Time machine)

(half closed curtain)

(Priscilla will see Xynthea crying)

Prisicilla: Hey are you alright?

Xynthea: Yes.
Priscilla: What happened?
Xynthea: I just came from a heart break. Sorry.
Priscilla: Sorry.I can be a friend. You can cry on me.
Xynthea: I still love him. Its his mom who said that I should break up with him
because I am the reason why he suffered.
Priscilla: Why dont you tell him the truth?
Xynthea: I dont know what to do.
Priscilla: Tell him the truth and make it up to him.
Xynthea: I will. Thank you.

(close curtain)

Setting:Restaurant

(Xynthea looking for Jett)

(They are supposed to meet at the caf)
(Xynthea sits at an empty table)
(Back ground Music: Let me be the one)

Waiter: Whats your order maam?

Xynthea: A water would be nice.
Waiter: Okay maam. Please wait for a minute.

(Jett comes in)

Jett: Sorry for waiting.
Xynthea: Its fine.
Jett: Why do you want to meet me?
Xynthea: I want to tell you everything.
Jett: Look, Xynthea I dont have the whole day to be with you. Just spill whatever
you want to say.
Xynthea: This is about us Jett. I want to clear why I broke up with you. I know you
are mad at me. But please. Listen to me.
Jett: What will happen after this Xynthea? You will try to make it up to me. Im sorry
Im courting someone.
Xynthea: (shocked) No, I just want to let you know the truth.
Jett: I repeat Xynthea. I dont have the whole day to listen to you and your lies.
Xynthea: This is the truth Jett! Your mom asked me to broke up with you.
Jett: So now, youre telling me. It was all my moms fault?
Xynthea: Believe me Jett! This is the truth. Your mom wants us to be separated.
She doesnt want me for you. Thats why she said that I should break up with you!
Jett: Okay, Even if I believe you. It doesnt change the fact that you never fight for
your love for me.
Xynthea: I did Jett. I just cant stand seeing you suffer because of me.
Jett: You never did Xynthea! You never fight for me! Like what I did.
Xynthea: Im sorry.
Jett: Youre always saying sorry but you never proved that youre really sorry. (walks
away)

Scene 16
Setting: School

(Xynthea sings Only reminds me of you)

Priscilla: Why do everytime I see you youre always crying? What happened?
Xynthea: I explained everything to him but he didnt believe me.
Priscilla: Why?
Xynthea: I dont know.
Priscilla: Whats his name again?
Xynthea: Jett. Jett Harris.
Priscilla: (gasped) Oh my God! This cant be. Ugh.
Xynthea: Why? (confused)
Priscilla: Hes courting me. Actually, I met him at a caf, he accidentally spilled his
frap on me. I think that was a week ago.
Xynthea: (shocked) Really? Ugh. What the hell is happening in this world?! Damn
it!
Priscilla: Im sorry. I didnt know. I dont like him. Its just he keeps on saying that
he likes me even though I know he doesnt. I do like him but only as a friend.
Xynthea: Its okay Priscilla. I understand. (smiles)
Priscilla: Im sorry. I am really sorry.

(close curtain)

Scene 17
Setting: Caf/Jetts House

Jett: Mom!
Mom: What dear? Why are you shouting?
Jett: Is it true?
Mom: Huh?
Jett: Is it true that you are the reason why Xynthea broke up with me?
Mom: So you already know? (smirks)
Jett: Mom!Why?
Mom: Because she is not the girl for you! You suffered a lot because of her!
Jett: I love her mom! I still do! You are the one who lets me suffer!
Mom: Im sorry son. I only did that for you. Because I want to protect you.
Jett: You are not protecting me mom. You are hurting me! (walks out)

(close curtain)

At the Caf

(Back up singer sings Ill never get over you getting over me)

Priscilla: Jett? (taps Jett)

Jett: Oh! Priscilla. Why are you here?
Priscilla: Im with my friend Xynthea.
Jett: (shocked) Xynthea?
Priscilla: (smirks) Yes! Your Ex.
Jett: How did you know her?
Priscilla: Lets just say that it was all fates fault.
Jett: What did she say to you?
Priscilla: She said that she still loves you. But you are pushing her away. (sighs)
Stop courting me Jett. I know you still love her.
Jett: How did you know?
Priscilla: I can see it through your eyes. How you flinched when I said Im with
Xynthea.
Jett: (laughs) Are you a love advicer or what?
Priscilla: Im just pretty. (laughs)
Jett: Im sorry
Priscilla: Sorry for what?
Jett: Because I made you believe that I like you.
Priscilla: Duh? Im perfectly fine. Dont need to say sorry.
Jett: But really, sorry and thank you.
Priscilla: (laughs) It feels so good playing cupid for a couple.
Xynthea: Priscilla? (saw Jett) Jett?
Priscilla: Oh, the love of your life is here. (winks at Jett) (whispers) The ball is on
you Jett. This is your chance. (walks away)
Xynthea: Priscilla, where are you going?
Priscilla: Im gonna find my prince charming! (bumps at Cyrill) What the heck?
Cyrill: Im sorry miss. (looks at Xynthea and Jett) Wait, Xynthea? Jett?
Jett: (shocked) What are you doing here?
Cyrill: I was here first.
Xynthea: I told you to stay away from us.
Cyrill: Im not here to start a war. I know Ive been a bad guy to you and Jett. But I
am really sorry. Im too childish that days. (laughs) Im starting a new life. And it
looks like Ive found my destiny. (looks at Priscilla.)
Priscilla: Eeew. Can you just let them talk for a while? Look, they are not yet
together. And Im their cupid. Ill kill whoever blocks their love story (pulls Cyrill
away)

(Cyrill sings Your song)

Jett: Im sorry for not believing you

Xynthea: You already know the truth?
Jett: Yeah. I asked my mom about it and yes, shes the one behind it.
Xynthea: So were back as friends?
Jett: Really? Were still friend I still love you and I know you still do.
Xynthea: What are you trying to imply mister?
Jett: Were officially a couple again.
Xynthea: (shrugs) Okay. (sings you)

(close Curtain)

Setting: Church

(Priest will start the ceremony)
(Vows: Jett and Xynthea will sing Forevermore)

Xynthea (old): And that is how we ended up being together

Jirro: What a great story grandma. I hope that we also have that kind of story
Xynthea: You will have if you will confess to her.
Jirro: I will grandma. I will (walks away)
(Xynthea will sings the bridge of When I met you)
Xynthea: (hugs her picture with Jett) I miss you Jett. And I cant wait to see you
again. (dies)

After 3 months

Jirro: Scarlet! Wait! Im telling you something.

Scarlet: What is it Jirro? We still have to finish our project!
Jirro: Uhh.. I..I..
Scarlet: Jirro! Get into the point! What are you saying?
(Jirro stuttering)
Scarlet: Calm down Jirro. What is it?
Jirro: I LIKE YOU!
Scarlet: You what?
Jirro: Dont let me say it again for the third time. Look, Scarlet. I like you. I really do.

(Scarlet starts singing Please be careful with my heart)
