Please reflect on the time the student was in the school and comment on his/her progress in each of the following
areas. Indicate both the strengths and the areas for further development for the next practicum experience.

Personal Qualities:
(Initiative; enthusiasm; professionalism; reflection; spoken and written language skills; interpersonal skills)

Chandler is an exuberant, enthusiastic young woman with a heart of gold and an unrelenting love of
children. She would seem to be the perfect type to be successful as a teacher of young children, and
she is just that successful. She is warm and caring, with a tremendous work ethic and is very creative.
The children recognize immediately how much she likes them, and they respond in kind. She treats
every student with respect and love.

Classroom Management:
(Developing an awareness of classroom procedures and routines; students characteristics and behaviors)

Chandler has successfully become more assertive, demanding, and consistent in her classroom
management. She maintains student attention quite well, and is able to effectively draw in those whose
attention may have wandered. She has been able to communicate her expectations, and has become
very consistent in demanding that students reach those expectations.

Teaching Effectiveness:
(Understanding of the curriculum and its outcomes; various teaching methods; lesson planning and delivery; assessment strategies)

Chandler is an effective teacher with the whole class, small groups, and individuals. Her lessons are
well planned and creative. She is able to encourage and support every student to do their best,
regardless of their ability. She is able to follow the curriculum well, and her students respond well to her
own enthusiasm for their learning. She is very well organized, and has tremendous energy. She has
been an absolute pleasure to work with!

Areas to concentrate on for next practicum:

1. Continue to develop classroom management skills.


2. Become better at anticipating time requirements for activities, and become better at
awareness of time and scheduling during the school day.
