a) Chronological signaling words(e.g: first of all, furthermore, next, etc) on every start of sub-topics b) Sub-topics keywords/sentences c) Expanding/elaborating the keywords
3. Closing, consists of:
a) Summarizing/reiterating and concluding the presentation b) Ask for last-minute question c) Finishing and say good bye
OVERVIEW OF FORMAL PRESENTATION:
1. Wear formal/polite outfit 2. Use formal and reassuring tone 3. Make eye-contact and interact with the audiences 4. If necessary, use presentation supporting tools such as; pointer, slideshow, visual aid, flash notes etc
WHAT STEPS SHOULD BE DONE WHEN YOU ARE
GOING TO MAKE FORMAL PRESENTATION? 1. Choose the main topic 2. Create outline of the main topic, consists of 3-4 sub-topic 3. Create thesis statements from the whole outline 4. Elaborate each sub-topic into a paragraph that support the thesis statements 5. Browse the internet/books for more eligible data or pictures 6. After that, summarize each paragraph into a short sentences(points) 7. If necessary, write down the points on the flash note 8. Then create interesting yet functional slide show 9. Practice a lot
