Queen of Iponan 2017 Q and A

1.)If women were to rule the world by 2050, how different the world
would be?
a. By 2050, the world would achieve leadership diversity. As women are
more likely to be collaborative, inclusive, and team-oriented.
2.)Which quality of women give them edge over men?
a. The quality to create and nurture the creation with tolerance, love and
patience gives a woman an edge over. As women are a personification
of love and compassion.
3.)Do you think that the youth of today faces more pressure of
performance than the previous generation?
a. Definitely the youth of today faces much more pressure. This is we
have social media in which we like someones success and we find
ourselves wanting. In this case, we expect ourselves to succeed at a
later age.
4.)Which role of a man compliments a woman better father, son, or a
partner?
a. a father compliments a woman better. As fathers are a womans first
loves and first heroes.
5.)Do you consider yourself to be a giver or taker? Why?
a. By the virtue of being a woman, I consider myself to be a giver, as
giving my best everyday is
6.)What would you say is the biggest problem facing our educational
system today? Why?
a. The biggest problem our educational system is the it lacks supporting
diversified talents of the students. As students are gifted with different
talents. Education should be on support to empower what they have to
support the future of our country.
7.)What is your definition of success?
a. As a young woman, I believe that success is not final. Everyday could
be considered a success. We may encounter failures but still we wake
up every day and try again for success. It is the courage to continue
that counts. That is my definition of success.
8.)What do you expect to gain by participating in pageants? Why?
a. I expect to gain enough confidence for me to socialize well to other
people.
9.)If you had one message to the world, what would it be and why?
a. If I had one message to the world, that would be to educate ourselves,
do not stay in the darkness of ignorance, we were born intelligent
enough to know that there is much more to learn in life.
10.) What made you decide to join this pageant?
a. I decided represent my community, to get involved in this specific
barangay activity, and to know that I can do more than who I was
before.
11.) How important is it to look your good at all times?
a. As a millennial, it is a norm for us to look good. Because to represent
ourselves beautifully is important in order to be successful in our
everyday life.
12.) What is your greatest obstacle? Why? How will you overcome
that?
a. My greatest obstacle would be my view of a situation. As I sometimes
overthink. I slowly overcoming it by assessing the situation better and
handle the problem effectively.

13.) What is the importance of beauty pageants in todays world?


a. Beauty pageants have given women a platform to acknowledge their
beauty, knowledge, and skills in front of the world. It is an opportunity
to discover oneself and represent their nation with pride, joy, and glory.
14.) If god granted you one wish, what would you wish for?
a. I wish that everyones talents and skills was utilize toward their own
success.
15.) We now live in an age where women are world leaders. Given
that, how do you think judging women on the basis of looks and a
single question contributes to the womens movement?
a. Joining community pageant can help womens movement by
enhancing the ability to project confidence.
16.) Someone commented that the beauty industry makes billions
in revenues by telling people youre not good enough . How would
you defend this contest in the face of this criticism?
a. The statement is not youre not good enough should be to highlight
you better. The beauty industry creates products that can emphasize
women's natural features face, skin, and body.
17.) Many kids and teenagers are bullied worldwide for having
imperfect looks --- buck teeth, large ears, and overweight issues.
What is your message to these young people?
a. Stand for yourself for being imperfect for others but be perfect for
yourself. Turn that bullying statements into a compliment. Focus on
your strength and talents. And believe in yourself that you are destined
to do great things.
18.) Would you have considered competing for a beauty pageant if
there were no cash prizes, modeling contracts, constant press
conference and zero publicity?
a. Yes, I would have considered competing for a beauty pageant if there
are no cash prizes, etc. because it is an opportunity for me to discover
if I could be confident enough to compete bearing the name of my
community.
19.) Would you advise women who are genetical incapable of
looking as perfect as you to get plastic surgery to approximate
your looks, since any contestant here is seen as the ultimate gold
standard in beauty?
a. No. I would not advise any women who are not perfect looking to get
plastic surgery just to be beautiful because I believe that being
confidently beautiful is showing to the world that I did my best for
myself and for others.
20.) Right now there is a protest going on right outside here
calling the Miss Universe Pageant disrespectful of women. Convince
them they are wrong.
a. A beauty pageant is not disrespectful to women as it serves as a
platform to acknowledge womens beauty, talent, and skills.
21.) Which have it easier in life: men or women?
a. There is no such thing as an easy life. It is a very hard and unfair life.
Men and women had to work hard enough to satisfy their own life
towards success.
22.) In the wake of conflicts and controversies, how is winning a
Queen of Iponan Crown relevant?
a.
23.) You will be a national figure if you win one of the crowns
tonight. How will you handle fame?
a.

25.) Social media is now a very powerful tool of communications.
Can you tell us your thought about Internet censorship?
a. Internet Censorship is controlling what can be accessed online. I am
with internet censorship. It is very helpful especially to those children
and youth who surf the internet without parental guidance. As they
dont know how dark the internet can be.
26.) If you win one of the crowns tonight, will you become an
Ambassador of good will? What is your message of peace for your
fellow Iponanons, especially at this time?
a. I am an Ambassador of Goodwill and this is my message of peace:
Peace starts from within. It shines through your action. Your action will
create an effect that causes other people to act through peace.
27.) As a modern Filipina, what is more important, a successful
career or a happy home?
a. Today, as a modern Filipina, it is important to have a successful career
in order to provide the basic needs of a family.
28.) Tell us please, when is a woman truly successful?
a. A woman is truly successful when she became a mother. As
motherhood is the very essence of every woman.
29.) What would you tell a child, who longs for her OFW mother?

30.) In our modern age, do you think it is appropriate for women to
court men? Why or why not?
a. As a Filipino millennial, no I think it is not appropriate for a woman to
court a man because our culture hardwired our mind that men give do
their best to woo their love one in order to get happiness in life.
