Ques. 1. Who set the focus and what was it? Why do you say so?

(Give a maximum of
three reasons) Not more than 6 lines.

There were a total of 12 jurors who were invited through mail to get to a consensus on the
murder trial and take it forward to the prosecutor. A vote was cast wherein 11 jurors voted
that the convicted was guilty while juror no. 8 (Henry Fonda) felt that he was not sure and
hence voted against the majority. He was asked by others to justify his stand. He then
guides everyone to look at the facts of the case from a different perspective and tries to
convince the other 11 jurors that facts can be misleading. The point to be noted here was
the way Henry Fonda convinced all the jurors using logic and attention to detail. In the
process, one by one, the jurors shifted their stand till everyone was convinced that the
convicted 18 year old boy was not guilty.
