Description
Modena is a C++ application that is developed to expedite and accelerate the
Operating System deployments. All of the software intended for installation are added
to the pool of available software. Clients use a custom Windows PE image, generated by
Modena to boot to the network, where they can install the assembled deployment
packages over the network from the Modena server. Our Team has to do the UI
Automation for this application.

Responsibility

• Test Automation & Manual Testing: I was responsible for drafting &
executing Functional test cases. We have done the automation for all the priority
1 & 2 UI test cases using MCF and MITA (Microsoft Internal Test Automation Tool).
We have done the test automation using .Net Framework 3.5. Now, we are doing
the manual testing for this product to test the tool for end to end SCCM(System
Center Configuration Manager) deployment scenario(includes Installation
Package Testing, Platform Support Testing , Licensing Testing, Security Testing).

Tool used: MITA Spy (Microsoft Internal Test Automation Tool)

Description
MDT provides a common deployment console to efficiently plan and simultaneously
deploy Windows OS, Applications, Packages and Drivers on a network of multiple target
machines. Deployments involve minimal interactions at the targeted computers using
the Lite Touch Installation (LTI) method or it can be completely automated by
integrating MDT with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) using Zero Touch
Installation (ZTI) method. MDT also provides tools for USMT, Image Capture, Custom
Image Deployment, Computer Backup etc.

Responsibility

• Manual Testing: I was responsible for test planning, execution and

recording results in PS. I did the Code coverage and Script (VB) analysis. Also
executed LTI/ZTI (SCCM) deployment scenarios. I was responsible for drafting and
executing Power shell scripts for Workbench UI validation. I have tested different
components using Black Box Testing test strategy which includes: Functional
Testing, UI testing, Performance Testing(includes Response Time Testing, Load
Testing, Stress Testing) and Deployment Testing(includes Installation Package
Testing, Platform Support Testing , Licensing Testing, Security Testing).
Additionally I did Document testing. I was responsible for bug reporting, analysis,
regression and logging. I also did troubleshooting, debugging and reporting Test-
Environment issues. Additionally, I have also resolved many Customer issues.
 • Development: I was responsible for automating the test cases using
power shell scripts. In this exercise, I have automated most repeated UI test
cases to cover regression, code coverage and bug fix verification. This covers all
the priority 1 UI test cases.
• Automation Testing: I have helped the Automation development team,
in this activity; I was solely responsible for testing Workbench UI, Client Side and
Validation Automation projects (which are developed in C#.net). I have also
helped the development team by generating the XML’s and batch file to
automate the test cases.

Description

REAP-3R is a C++ developed application. This application generates the Press Releases
of DOWJONES listed companies. We need to do generate, validate and test the XMLs of
Press Releases. XMLs are generated by the marked press releases given by the
editorials. The application takes the configuration files as the input and parses it and
collects the required data points from the press Release as per marked up records in
the Release. After testing the particular company press Releases, validation is done so
as to ensure that all the data points are picked up correctly or not.

Responsibility

• Manual Testing: I was responsible for generating the configuration files

and xml’s by analyzing the Marked Press Releases provided by the client. Tested
the press release on UNIX environment to ensure all the data points are picked
up correctly. I have handled this complete application single-handedly.

Description

It is a toolset to automate desktop and server deployment. It is a piece of server

software that permits network deployment of Microsoft Windows. Hardware drivers,
Windows updates, and other software’s can be included with the installation. The
project involves testing of Deployment of Windows Vista/XP/Server 2003/Server2008 on
Business Desktops.
Responsibility

• I was responsible for developing test cases, test case execution and
