DATE Learning objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
a. perform the action song creatively in front of the class with guidance.
Teaching Aids : letter cards, activity book.
CCE/EE:Multiple Intelligences, Creativity and Innovation, Collaborative Learning.

Subject Activities :
English a. Introduction:
1. Ask pupils what are their names.
2. Guide pupils to identify the initial letters of their names.
a. Presentation:
Class 1. Put up the song lyrics on the board. (TB page 10)
Year 1 2. Sing the song. Pupils listen and follow.
3. Repeat step 2 with other letters.
4. Guide the pupils to sing the song with appropriate actions.
TIME b.Practise:
1. Give each pupil a blank card.
2. Each pupil writes the first letter of their names.
(60 minutes)
3. Get the pupils into groups based on the first letter of their names.
4. Next, teacher guides the groups in preparing for the performance.
c. Production:
1. Guide all the groups to sing in front of the class with appropriate actions.
2. Guide the pupils to complete the worksheet (AB page 10)

1. Sum up the lesson by telling pupils that they need to use capital letters for names
of people.
