No Choir Practice tonight
Pick up your Alabaster box today at the missions table in the
hallway. All monies collected for Alabaster go directly into new
construction on the mission field. We will be taking up our
Alabaster offering on February 26th.
Lindsays music mirrors her personality. It is vivacious, joyful
and relentlessly enthusiastic while maintaining an uncanny ability to
speak with honesty and vulnerability about life as it is. And about life as
it should be. As a wife and mother I know life can get crazy at times. But
even simple experiences with my two-year old son can jolt me back to
the realization of how much God loves me. In His eyes, we are all like
little children. Not only has that made me thankful for even the smallest
of blessings, but it compels me to focus on the nature of redemption. I
want to sing to those wounded hearts that wonder where God has gone,
who feel like their time is past, or may feel like they have blown it and
God cannot use them. I want to tell them, Its not over. Its never over.
Regardless of your situation, there is nothing that is beyond His
redemption.
By the time Lindsay graduated from high school there was no
doubt in her mind about her future calling. She packed her bags and
headed for Nashville where she earned a degree in business with an
emphasis on music industry from Trevecca Nazarene University.
We Need YOU!!
We need people to financially sponsor our youth for upcoming
events. Some of our youth have qualified and will be representing the
East Tennessee District at TNT in April. Several of our youth will be
attending our annual Winter Retreat in Pigeon Forge, TN. This is a
bonding time for our group where they relax and just let God speak. If
you would like to sponsor a youth to attend these events, please see
Pastor Thomas.

MICAH 6:8 MINISTRY from Sandy Schefcik
Did You Know that Joni Ernst, the Republican junior senator from Iowa,
introduced a Senate bill eliminating federal funding for Planned Parenthood and
overturning Obama's rule barring states from doing the same? The bill's working
title is the "Protect Funding for Women's Healthcare Act," and it will re-direct
funding to other eligible women's healthcare providers for important services like
diagnostic laboratory and radiology services, immunizations, well-child care,
prenatal and postnatal care, cervical and breast cancer screenings, and more.
She's also announced she has a bill ready that will overturn Obama's end-of-term
gift to Planned Parenthood: Title X family planning grants. Obama used federal
legislation at the end of December to blockade states' ability to determine for
themselves who the best family providers for their citizens might be. Together with
Representative Diane Black (R-Tenn.), Ernst co-authored an op-ed in the
Washington Examiner recently in which she noted that the former President's end-
run around the will of the people would be reversed. At the March for Life on
January 27, Ernst took the dais and reminded the marchers that she'd worked to
halt federal funding for Planned Parenthood in 2014, but had been unsuccessful.
"Back then, we didn't have a president that respected lifeThankfully, today is
different. Today, we have a pro-life president! We as a pro-life community honor
the civil liberties, independence, and strength of a woman -- all women. And that
means both supporting mothers and rising up to protect the most vulnerable in our
society -- the innocent babies who are unable to defend themselves."
