A space whale from the end of the universe has been discovered in

orbit. Evidence suggests that it has been there for over one billion
years. Its body is composed of optically thin condition-violating
helium nuclei permeated by a radiation field and non-baryonic matter
held in a crystalline lattice by Coulomb forces. It exhibits wild
departures from blackbody spectral types and exists at extremely low
ambient temperatures. The microwave background radiation is too
intense for it. Empty space burns. We posit its metabolism is driven by
positronium decay and false vacuum tunnelling. We calculate that it
takes ten trillion years to process one bit of information and so thinks
on a scale of trillions of trillions of trillions of years. It may as well be
an inanimate object.
