Formative Assessment:
Students will relay the definition of main idea back to the
teacher orally. The students will also provide a visual example
of understanding by drawing a picture of the main idea of the
story using detail.

Student Movement Management


Students will turn and talk to one other student right next to
them. Teacher will assign partner if they are unsure. Students
will turn back to the teacher when the teacher counts down
from 5 and snaps fingers.

Students will also engage in a stretching exercise break after


the we do section. Students will preform various stretches.

Students will also get up off the carpet to go back to their desks
to complete their drawings.
