Objectives:
1. Create a Valentines holder at home, preferably not store bought. Use
any materials available to you: shoebox, cereal box, paper bag,
markers, crayons, stickers, glitter, ribbons, etc. Your Valentines
holder should be colorful and creative.
2. Write an essay outlining the steps you took while creating your
Valentines holder. The focus is on putting events in sequence and
using transition words (first, next, then, finally).
3. Present Valentines holder to class.
We will celebrate Valentines Day with a fun craft project and writing
assignment. Your Valentines holder will be used at our class party to
collect your Valentines from friends. So, make sure your holder has a
place where your Valentines can be inserted.
Use the rubric to judge the quality of your project. Class presentations
will be made on Friday, February 10th!
Contest:
Winners will be chosen for the Valentine holders that are: Most Creative,
Most Unusual, and Most Loved (pertaining to Valentines Day).
