Introduction:
Film production is a complex many-layered business involvingseveral players across
the spectrum of technology, services, software and hardware solutions, talent
management, distribution, supply chain management, and financial management.
While the prospects of a films financial outcome depends on variables that involve
considerable risk; timing, creative processes, trends, and market demands are
difficult to predict, the businesses which serve technical processes are usually
immune to the risks, owing to the outcome of films having no bearing on the
income/payment mechanism of post-production facilities, and this is true across the
world, particularly in Telugu Film Industry based in Hyderabad. Nomatter what
happens to the films investment, payments are almost always made to the
technical services, solutions, and products prior to its release, effectively protecting
these businesses from market forces.

Business potential:
Across the world, Telugu film industry ranks among the top language industry,
producing one of the largest numbers of movies per year across the world. Up until
about five years ago, about 120-130 films were produced per year in Telugu alone.
Now, with the digitization of most technology and the budgets coming down due to
the technological advances, as well as ever-increasing market presence of Telugu
films, including production of bilingual, trilingual, and polylingual films, as also
international markets like Dubai, malaysia, singapore, America, etc, the market
potential of Telugu film industry has improved manifold. Now, per year about 220-
230 films are produced per annum, which is an excellent source of market for our
business.
L J studios, owing to having an established brand presence in its chosen field, has a
captive market, that, along with the proposed updated latest technological
equipment and services, can claim without boasting a market share of 20% of all
films produced in Telugu Film Industry hands down, including Marquee clients like
big production houses and leading banners.
Competition:
In the past decade, there have been other studios that have cropped up and have
been performing satisfactorily to very successfully, some of them associated with
other production houses. However, since the equipment is hugely capital intensive,
studios do not usually update their technology quickly, and therefore, some of them
might be out-dated or capable of providing sub-par solutions or services. Also,
independent studios which provide the kind of services like LJ does, in a single-
window manner, are almost non-existent. The proposed studio easily puts most
competition on notice for scope of business solutions offered under a single roof as
well as technological upgradation.
Risk factors: Since the business process involved requires payment prior to the
release and is not contingent upon the performance of any film, the risks involved,
except in cases of rare obligations with regular customers or high-profile customers,
is almost zero. The emergence of other newer similar businesses can pose a
potential risk in terms of reduction of market share, but we have the advantage of
networking in the industry, experience, and highest quality expertise, which can
overshadow the potential risk.
