of Metrobank and market leader in the industry, expressed their intention
to provide scholarship grants to deserving college students. Boysen

by providing access to quality higher education. Since MBFI has been
implementing scholarship programs for more than ten (10) years now,

COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Background and Rationale Fluor Inc. (formerly known as Fluor Daniels, Inc.-Philippines) is one of the
valued clients of the Metrobank which share in the governments vision
that a Globally Competitive and World Class Workforce will contribute to
a more progressive nation.

In 2001, Fluor Daniels partnered with MBFI to assist financially needy but
academically deserving Filipino students in obtaining quality education
through the scholarship program. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)
between the Foundation and Fluor Daniels was formally signed during
the same year. The scholarship program for the residents of Muntinlupa,
Paraaque and Las Pias was officially implemented in school year
2001-2002. Fluor Daniels directly administered the said program, while
the Foundation managed the donation and addressed the financial
requirements of the Fluor Daniels for the scholarship program by
establishing a Trust Fund through the Metrobank Trust Banking Group.
The partnership was renewed in SY 2005-2006 and another batch of 5
Engineering students were granted scholarships.

In March 2009, the officials of the Foundation and Fluor Inc. reviewed the
scholarship program implemented 8 years ago and realized the value of
the scholarship program being given to less privileged but academically
deserving students. Both parties discussed the possibility of renewing
the partnership where the Foundation will be more involved in the
administration of the program.

In June 2009, the partnership between MBFI and Fluor was formally
renewed through the signing of MOA. This time, MBFI will be more
involved in the administration of the program.
