Compulsive cravings combined with prolonged substance abuse can prompt
physical consequences throughout the body. Most substances will cause
strain on the organ, as well as the venous and respiratory system after

sometimes even just after a few weeks of use.

The ultimate health consequences of substance abuse, ofcourse is death
either caused directly by a situation such as an overdose or heart attack, or
eventually through the development of drug-induced cancer or AIDs.

caused by chemical imbalances in the brain that initiate a physical
longing or compulsion for a specific substance or behavior.

While considered a brain disease or a behavioral disorder, drug abuse


health effects can also lead to physical damage of your body. Drugs
interfere with brain circuity and chemicals, potentially altering a
persons genetic framework and making it difficult for them to function
without continued use of the substance.

other infectious diseases.

and social drinking behaviors can also negatively influence your health.

- Cardiovascular diseases

- Depression

Alcohol health effects can impair judgment, which makes operating
machinery, driving or engaging in other behaviors risky. Drinking heavily also
weakens the immune system, and combined with impaired judgment may
increase your risk for infection and sexually transmitted disease like
HIV/AIDs.

Addiction most commonly develop into stimuli that influence ones mood,
including substances like drugs and alcohol. It could affect the brain that
interfere with the normal communication and alter ones perception of
pleasure and pain. Addiction at first is kinda hard to leave, especially if it is
habitual but with the help of rehab, medication, and your courage and
determination to change your behavior then its easy. Theres this saying
