Understand SS7 and SS7 over IP

all STPs understand ITU/ANSI/CHINA standard of SS7
most of present STP allows also SS7 over IP
Translate between SS7 and SS7 over IP
basic usage of STP today is to propagate traffic between
SS7 and SS7oIP networks
Routing
all STPs must be capable to route base on Point Code
address
all STPs must be capable to route base on Global Title
present STPs are capable to route also based on address
field within MAP/IS41 layer
