Photos from the scene of a police-involved shooting in which Bettie Jones and Quintonio LeGrier were killed. Provided by Power Rogers & Smith Law firm.
Captions, in order:
1) Yellow police markers showing where shell casings landed when Quintonio LeGrier and his neighbor, Bettie Jones, were fatally shot by Chicago Police Officer Rialmo. Rialmo has said LeGrier swung a metal baseball bat at him before Rialmo opened fire. Attorneys for LeGrier and Jones' families say that the photos show that Rialmo was on the sidewalk when he fired the fatal shots, while Jones and LeGrier's bodies fell inside the house, prompting questions about whether the police were in danger when Rialmo started shooting.
2) Evidence markers inside the home where LeGrier and Jones were shot. The marker labled "E" shows where LeGrier's body was found. Marker "D" shows where Jones fell.
3) Evidence markers seen from the doorway of the duplex apartment where Quintonio LeGrier and Bettie Jones lived.
4) A bloodstain across the threshold of the foyer of the duplex apartment where Jones and Legrier lived.
5 & 6) Evidence markers showing where shell casings landed on the sidewalk and gangway outside LeGrier and Jones' duplex.
