eggs
The eggs will hatch into larvae after 3-5 days .
At the time of growth , the outer shell of the larvae did not participate stretch ,
but when the outer skin becomes very tight larvae , the larvae molt. In general,
the larvae molt as many as 4-6 times , alternating periods of skin ( molting ) also
called instars . At this stage the larvae have been prepupa phase and will release
the last skin to form a pupa ( chrysalis )
Pupa ( Pupa )
Butterfly
the young butterflies will try to fly , the butterfly will grow into a young adult
butterfly and was on the imago phase .
Egg
The egg is the first stage in the butterfly and moth life
cycle. Butterfly and moth eggs are very small and round,
oval or cylindrical. Many have ribs or other tiny features.
Females lay their eggs on or near the plants that will later
become caterpillar food.
Monarch butterfly egg
Larva
The larva hatches from the egg. Butterfly and moth larvae
are usually called caterpillars. Caterpillars spend most of
their time eating. Butterflies and moths do all of their
growing when they're caterpillars, and food gives them the
energy and body-building materials they need. A
caterpillar's exoskeleton can't stretch or grow, so the Monarch butterfly
caterpillar sheds its skin, or molts, several times as it caterpillar
grows.
