EVENTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BRISTOL SPRING/SUMMER 2017

Public events and

performances from Music,
Film, Theatre, Faculty of Arts,
University of Bristol.
Welcome
On behalf of the Departments of Music, Film and Theatre, its
my pleasure to introduce this Spring-Summer season of public
events at the University of Bristol. Within these pages youll find
an exciting programme of performances and research events
across Theatre, Film and Music, many of which involve our
talented students, staff and graduates.
This spring the Department of Theatre presents a season of
exciting productions including In a Thousand Pieces performed
by The Paper Birds, and Bricking It by father and daughter duo
Joanna and Patrick Griffin. The Music Department welcomes
the Kokoro Ensemble who will be performing new music
inspired by the Old Hispanic liturgy, followed in March by the
annual University Choral Society and Symphony Orchestra
Concert. Later in the season the Department of Film and
Television host the 5th Annual Conference of the British
Association of Film, Television and Screen Studies (BAFTSS).
There are also numerous research talks and masterclasses by
leading scholars and practitioners from Bristol and further afield.
We very much look forward to welcoming you soon.
