JOINT AFFIDAVIT OF ARREST

We, the undersigned Police Officers, members of the Philippine

National Police, presently assigned at Tagum City, Davao del Norte,
Philippines, do hereby depose and state that:

1. We are assigned as regular uniformed personnel in the City of

Tagum with the rank of Special Police Officer 1 (SPO1).

2. Part of our assignment as SPO1 is to conduct regular ocular

inspection in Tagum City along Guiho St., in Barangay Apokon from five o
clock in the afternoon up to one o clock in the morning.

3. On or about 04 July 2016 at around 11:35pm, we were on-duty

conducting ocular inspection in my area of assignment.

4. While conducting our regular ocular inspection in Brgy.

Apokon, the police station radioed us on an incident of robbery in Bermudez
Plains Subdivision.

5. Upon arrival in Bermudez Plains Subdivision, we were received

by the persons of Leila Matobato and Luningning Masirum, who narrated to
us the events that transpired.

6. Leila Matobato and Luningning Masirum pointed to a certain

Jason D. Maputi as the culprit. They described the suspect as <insert
description of Jason here> and carrying a backpack described as <insert
description of backpack here>.

7. We were allowed to enter and search the Matobato residence.

Upon entry thereon, we found windows forcibly opened.

8. At around 20 minutes since we entered and searched the

Matobato residence, we heard a gunshot from the nearby Energy Park; 4
gunshots followed.

9. We proceeded to Energy Park to determine the cause of the

gunshot. No one was present in the area.

10. We continued to search Energy Park and the areas surrounding

it until we reach Gemini St.

 11. Upon reaching Gemini St., we found the suspect carrying a
backpack and acting suspiciously.

12. Upon seeing our flashlights, the suspect attempted to escape by

running away.

13. We responded by causing the suspects arrest.

14. On the way to police station, a certain Francois Jeanne Claude,

a balut vendor in the area waved his hand to ask for our assistance.

15. Claude pointed to us the location of the body of Alan Peter

Matobato.

16. Upon search of the area, we recovered 5 empty bullet shells.

17. SPO1 Trillanes called for SOCO Tagum City. We waited until
SOCO personnel arrived before returning to the police station.

18. In the police station, the following items were recovered from
the suspect, to wit:

a. Php 85,000 in cash;

b. one white gold necklace w/ diamond worth Php
15,000;
c. one gold bracelet worth Php 40,050;
d. one white gold bracelet worth Php 25,000;
e. two 24karat gold earrings worth Php 16,000;
f. one 18k diamond worth Php 50,000;
g. one space grey Iphone 6s worth Php 42,999;
h. one Apple SE 64gb worth Php 24,999;
i. one Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge worth Php 21,000;
and
j. Beretta 92f 9mm pistol with Serial No. ABC1234
licensed to Mr. Vincent Kennedy McMahon.

19. The 5 empty bullet shells recovered from the crime scene were
turned over to SPO2 Romeo Lagman, Exhibit Custodian of the Tagum City
Police District.

20. The suspect was apprised of their rights as provided for

under the Constitution of the Philippines.

21. The report of the PNP Crime Laboratory Group Physical

Identification Report No. <details here> dated <insert crime lab date here>,
revealed that suspect, Jason D. Maputi tested POSITIVE after a Paraffin
Test,

 22. We executed this joint affidavit to attest the truthfulness of the
foregoing facts and to support the filing of Criminal Cases against Jason D.
Maputi for Robbery with Homicide.
